Here's something I find EXTREMELY annoying about WM in general, and is one of the main reasons I tend to use Manila:

I get a text, the LED flashes and whatever alert/vibration goes off. So I tab down to the Text tab or Alerts tab and tap on the new text. The Text Message screen comes up, but the keypad is not up and no cursor in the text entry box. So I have to tap in the entry box and then the keypad comes up and and the cursor is in the entry box. I start to type, but the first letter I type appears and then immediately disappears! So if I don't remember to type the first letter twice I end up having to backspace and retype the word. VERY annoying. WAY too many screen taps just to reply to a text imo.

IIRC, before I start to type I can tap in the entry box and then it works fine, but why should I have to do an extra step like that, esp. when the cursor is already in the entry box?? When I tap the new message from Titanium it should open up ready for me to reply. And I prefer it to close Text Messaging up back to the home screen when I am finished.

So I type my reply and hit send. It sends. But the LED still flashes until I close out of that text message. Also very annoying.

The whole thing just takes way to many actions to reply and then close out to home screen so I can put it in my pocket. With Manila I can just tap the Messaging tab, read the entire new message from there, hit "reply" and it opens and I type with no additional screen taps, hit send and it all closes up back to the messaging screen. Hit the home key and put it back in my pocket.

Texting has been this way since I had my old Vogue and always pissed me off compared to how well the iphone and other PPCs work.

That's a EZINPUT issue I believe. I use Fingerboard and SPB, when I reply to a message (text or email) it opens the message and puts the cursor where I need it with the keyboard popped up.

I think the texting app in Manilla is nice for replies. It's integration with Windows is poor and seeing conversations with other people is difficult. Overall, imo, Manilla has a lot of inefficiencies.
