Frankly I don't like SPB as it seems like it has a slew of bugs and they are always releasing updates. I mean I got several requests to make a SPB ROM but it's more work than it's worth. It's getting on my nerves.

And I haven't tried making an appointment a month in advance. Which version are you using jelive? SPB?

I'm using 3.5.3 but like you as much as I like it there seems to be some new bug in each new version. I'm tempted to go back to a previous version. What really is the difference in loading a ROM like yours w/o SPB and then adding SPB with a CAB vs. a ROM with SPB included from the start? I sure can't see you going through all the effort and grief just for a few of us out here but appreciate your work :-)

Mr O,

Happy New Year!

I'll probably be burning whatever your latest and greatest is in a few days. Doesn't matter to me if you don't put spb on it, it's easy enough to install it from a cab if I want, so no biggie if you stop that flavor. I like it, but not enough to buy it and probably will just settle back to HTCHOME2 again, that's mainly what I use. Have you tried it? It's just like the old touch home application. So a stripped rom or titanium only works fine for me. I've actually been running sprint shipped again for about a week because I was trying to get my phone replaced, but they claim it's physical damage and I'm not yet willing to pay $100 to assurion. Running shipped is really interesting from a control perspective, it reminds me all the things I hate about shipped, makes me appreciate the speed, efficiency and battery life of the custom roms, ie, it helps set a baseline. I noticed my windows media player was running smoother with the shipped rom, but maybe it had to do with the devicelock app I ran and not your rom. I will try leaving that off when I next test your rom.

Looking forward to testing whatever you want me to test, just make sure it doesn't have any bugs! lol!!! Don't forget the registry editor too! lmol!

Have a happy and a healthy new year!

Thanks for all your hard work!! keep it up!!!! You're currently my favorite diamond chef, don't buy a new phone!!! lol

I also am using SPB 3.5.3 as a cab install, but not bumping into any bugs. What specifically are you seeing?

Okay I think I will discontinue cooking in SPB and everyone can just cab install. Anyone want me to keep trying? It will make my life easier though. Just to treat you guys I think I may cook up a Manila 1 and 2.1 ROM for the heck of it. Manila 1 would just be a tribute to Mike and his MR6 that we all loved but hated at the same time. WM 6.5 has progressed enough to really give us the stability and speed Mike was looking for.

speed, stability, battery life & lots of free memory, rock solid apps, games and toys, that's all I want! I don't ask for much! lol .....(but manilla does absolutely nothing for me except waste valuable space)

I smell something tasty cooking in the kitchen!!! mmmmmm.......

How come nobody defaults all the cache, mail folders, text repository, temporary files and stuff to internal storage? That's what i think I'd like to see in a rom, but maybe there's a reason none of these great chefs have done that. Just throwing ideas out there, I know you can tweak these things with config tools, but if it works, why not set them on the rom?

Mr O

Agree probably lots easier for each of us to deal with SPB on our own. Thanks again for your efforts.

Frankly I just am not 100% sure how to do that nor would I give it to stability. To be honest moving everything to the Internal Storage is maybe not the best idea and if we can free up enough main memory it should be just fine.

loaded up this rom and things are running smooth. opera zoom wheel doesn't work though, I've seen this on other roms, but I thought it was opera release related and I thought on past roms it worked on 9.5. Any ideas?

I'm also thinking the bluetooth quality isn't as good as on the shipped rom, but there are lots of possible variables and now I'm trying to tweak it with advanced config. What is different about bluetooth support here vs 6.1 sprint shipped? Do you know?

I'm not a fan of SPB either

Any news of what we talked about here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=102945 ?
