OK, I nosed around through all the settings and found the problem. It was in the selection of Settings/Personal/Phone/Services tab/ Network Service (from scrolling list)/ Get Settings button, then Preferred Serving System. I changed it from Automatic-A to Standard. That did it. The little pyramid icon in the top bar went away and the letters in the square changed from 1X to Ev. What does all that mean? I know I fixed it, but what did I fix?

Good job! The little pyramid on the taskbar meant that your phone was roaming at your current location. I was going to suggest you load your DCD carrier cab, but you posted before I had the chance.

Just wondering, but has anyone reinstalled remote desktop mobile and got it working?

Been having a oh so wonderful time trying to get rdc to work (unsuccessfully I might add)...

I've tried and it doesn't work. But, admittedly, I didn't try very hard.

Give this attached MS Remote Desktop Mobile 6.5.cab version a try. I've tested it with OMJ's 28014 Sense 2.5 v1.5 ROM and it worked fine with XP SP3 on multiple systems. That said, if possible, please post your results and the specific OMJ ROM and PC OS that you tried it on.

Why is text messaging so slow in Sense 2.5 ?? Is there any way to fix this?

Hey guys, I've finished my ROM for WMPU, they should have it posted soon, I'll post the link when they do. But now I'm working on my next updates, and looking for ya'll's input. I'll be updating the SYS's too.

questions for ya....

1. Any particular SYS? just the latest/stabalist?
2. Leave Opera out or add back in?
3. Leave Google out or add back in?
4. YouTube out or in? I'm pretty sure it's going back in
5. LZX Compression, yes or no? anyone running into any issues w/ it?

anything else needed added or removed?

I cooked a 28014 ROM last night w/ opera 10.3 + Google 4 + Youtube.....still was using LZX Compression.....still had 80mb storage, but really, I dont need all that space, and if it runs better w/o compression, I can easily sacrifice the small amount of storage.

1. 23534 is working great for me with amikam's ROM, but if 25006 looks good in your testing, you should go with that.
2. Leave Opera out.
3. Leave Google Maps out.
4. Youtube in, since people are having problems with cab installs.
5. Definitely LZX compression. I've had no problems, and I love the extra space.

2. Opera in
3. Google out
4. YouTube out
5. Whatever gives the best mix of speed and available space
