I've noticed a few things with 2100...Windows Live doesn't open messenger won't let me log in. When I attempt to install an update to Live it freezes, then restarts and hangs on the splash screen and I have to reflash.

I haven't flashed yet (battery was below 50% this morning!) but sometimes when I have these errors with Windows Live, it helps if I turn off Sense UI, install under regular Windows Mobile OS, then turn Sense UI back on. I would try that (and will in 6% battery life....).

Sorry...I'm kinda new to all of this. How does one go about doing that?

snsethy, to turn HTC Sense off, click on the the Start Soft Button at the bottom left of the screen, then click on Settings, then click the Home Icon, then click on the the left or right arrows at the top of Home to go to Items, then scroll down the list of items until you see HTC Sense and remove the check mark, click OK at the bottom of the screen, and Sense will close. Once closed, you should be able to install and set up Windows Live. Once set up, you can retrace the steps above to start up Sense again.

Hope this helps...
Best to all,
R

Windows Icon->Settings->Home->Items->Uncheck HTC Sense->OK

Although I just did this and was still not able to install Windows Live so let me fight with it for a while and get back to you.

the Ol' windows live issue. Here's how I fixed it.

uncheck Sense 2.5, enable titanium, soft reset, go to mail, enter your hotmail email, should work.

if its actually an "install" issue, uninstall windows live, then disable sense, soft reset, install live, enable titanium, soft reset, to go email, etner your hotmail address. should work.

Yeah, this wasn't in test v1 but is happening again in test v2.

I tried these steps and it didn't work as it had done in the past. I'll try to reflash because I had been goofing around with the Windows Live Installer a bit....

Also I've had better success cooking it INTO the rom, since you're flashing an already cooked ROM it's a little harder, try a different installer (or different version of Live)

I can confirm this as well. I haven't tried to install the update, but the Windows Live as it is won't open, and messenger won't allow me to access the sign in dialog.

I also noticed several other issues with beta 2:

1) HTC Album 3.2
Landscape
- "X" in top right corner is off screen.
- When pressing on any menu item, the -pressed image looks wrong.
- Menu bar alignment is off in landscape.
- Slideshow photos are mis-aligned.
- "Set album as favorite" message dialog is mis-aligned.
- When accessing the "Albums menu", display is rotated to portrait. Manually rotating it back to landscape results in a non-landscaped album viewer.
- When Accessing "About" in Menu, screen is mis-aligned.
- When Acessing "Help" in Menu, screen is rotated to portrait. Then if you click "Content" error message "Cannot open Help. The File cannot be found."

Portrait
- No menu bar in portrait mode.

2) HTC Messages
- Text alignment is off when searching to add recipients.
- Recipient search does not work, cannot find any contacts.

So it looks like the porting still has a way to go. Maybe this info would be better posted in the porting thread.

OMJ were you using the test 4 port?
