Anyone have any solutions?

There was a supposed solution posted earlier in the thread. It was just a link to another thread, I figure I can post the actual info:

Code:

disconnect network when idle for 1 min timeout
Registry path:

HKLM\Comm\CommMgr\Planner\Settings\

Set "CacheTime" to 60
Set "SuspendResume" to 58 00 00 00 33 00 99 00 88 00 39 00 58 00 39 00 29
Default is #777 and should not contain anything about GRPS
setting SuspendResume" to "58 00 00 00 33 00 99 00 88 00 39 00 58 00 39 00 29"
makes it so you can make calls while you have a data connection.
YOU CANNOT have both on at same time
before you COULD NOT answer any calls
while you had data present.
now it disconnects the data and
makes it so you can answer calls

Is anyone having problems with the latest 2.5 28014 not putting the screen to sleep during calls? For some reason my screen stays on the whole time I'm in a call. I checked the registry settings that are supposed to tell it to sleep and they are enabled. I'm not sure if it is the new dialer or what.

PLEASE don't do this - not your fault, qwho, but it was me who posted that tip and I'm fairly sure it's what's causing my problems with answering calls (see an above post). In fact I'm looking for someone to tell me the *default* value for this field so I can revert it :(

I found this registry hack a while ago, and it always works for me...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\
SuspendResume = GPRS_bye_if_device_off
CacheTime = xxx (where xxx are seconds before auto disconnect, for me the best value is 60)

You can have multiple lines in the 'SuspendResume' key, so I usually leave whatever is there alone, and just add this on another line. I never have a problem with calls, etc.

Hope this helps!

It's not the right kind of field for that (it only accepts hex values). In current OMJ 6.5.3 / 2.5, anyway.

First of all, this is the greatest thing to happen to my phone...thanks OMJ. I
usually just read through and upgrade as the ROMS come along, but i too am having a problem with items running off the bottom of the screen. I have reflashed 28014 v1.5 several times and i notice the problem the most when trying to change the date of an appointment and when in a call.

Again...thanks OMJ. Sorry for the complaint.

what do u mean by running of the bottom of the screen? the only screen I can think of that is not ported correctly is the appointment editor page, but you can still click on OK

is there anyway to prevent the display from coming on when a message comes through? sometimes I don't even check the messages immediately, unless I'm expecting something from someone...

I dont think there is, but I'm not 100% sure

I had a thought about this - it could actually be the tweak I posted before for suspending the data connection when not in use, thinking about it. At least that's something I tried that most people likely haven't.

Unfortunately I neglected to note down the default value of the registry key in question. Can someone who hasn't changed it please please let me know the value of the key HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\SuspendResume in an OMJ 6.5.3 / Sense 2.5 ROM so I can restore it? Thanks a lot!

it has the topaz video driver

Love the rom but for some reason I have my data continuously running, anything I can do about it, thanks.

thats from the new dialer, it breaks the data arrows, but your data is not truly running all the time.

Hi, I just flashed the new sense 2.5 21887 v1.3, my sprint's diamond has gotten zero reception. I had the previous 2.5 for awhile and it didn't seem to be this bad. Any ideas why? Thanks!

the rom will not affect the radio, not sure why your reception is showing 0

On the latest Rom 2.5 28014 v1.5, these are the things I noticed.
Bluetooth Icon missing
Pic Viewer not showing 100% of pic, not centered correctly
Also, is this the correct dialer for CDMA? It's different than your other ROM's

Just wondering what kind of battery life everyone is getting, because my battery went from full to empty in about 8 hours overnight, with no programs running.

I thought that the data was continuously active, but per OMJ, that is not the case.

Anyone else having a battery drain, or is there something I'm doing wrong? Perhaps having the GPS on drains the battery?
