I'm happy to throw it on today, but does BT not work? That's a no-go for me as we have cell phone/driving laws and I make a lot of calls from the car.

Haha. I installed 23420 last night and was going to comment that it's a little sluggish at boot up but grooves itself in nicely after about 20 minutes. The only downside for me was battery life but I was going to give it more time.

I really like the finger friendliness of these new builds...

I figured out the battery issue last night. On many occassions the backlight turns on (usually with a notifiaction for a new text, email, tweet, whatever) and then fails to turn completely off. It stays dim for a couple hours then your battery runs out.

Re: Prototype rom v.2.5 10/8/09 loaded sys 23060

just flashed it and so far good. the only issue i see is that the bottom and top are cutting off the displays. also the time in the top right corner is conflicting with the task manager. I like it im not into the titanium roms so its good to see some that like the manilla/rhodium.

Re: Prototype rom v.2.5 10/8/09 loaded sys 23060

I prefer just manilla. One thing that I like but i cannot figure out how to do is when you tap the start button to get it to go straight to programs. It was on a 6.1 rom with manilla/rhodium but it is not finger friendly. i like the manilla 6.5 roms but i dont like the titanium start menu. so far the rom has been running smoothly no issues yet.

I prefer Titanium only, but you should realy make whatever ROM makes you happy.

Re: Prototype rom v.2.5 10/8/09 loaded sys 23060

I just recently unlocked my TD and have installed probably over 10 ROMS this past week. Yours is my favorite by far! Clean, stable, and up-to-date.

Please keep including Manila. I don't mind having it installed along with Titanium. I was on the Titanium bandwagon [a few days :) ] for a while but find that having the scroll on the bottom ends up being easier for me to use.

I 've encountered the following
1. I sometimes get a "video can not be played" error on Youtube
2. The Opera9 link in programs folder doesn't open anything
3. having the windows icon for sound control in the notification bar is a little confusing.

Do you plan on installing Showcase? I find it easier to close out of programs by holding down windows icon versus the small drop-down.

KEEP IT UP

Re: Prototype rom v.2.5 10/8/09 loaded sys 23060

Just tried it out your ROM for the first time, the Manila version specifically, and looks fairly good so far. Couple of quick issues I wanted to note:

-The bottom bar on Manila is partially obscured by the Start Bar. This same thing affected Bonsai's ROM, and he posted a cab that fixes the issue (though apparently this moves it slightly too high, but it looks okay to me):
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=289

-The clock and the HTC task manager seem to be rendering on top of each other in the upper right when on the Manila screen.

-Volume up and down rocker is bringing up the WinMo volume and not the Manila volume control.

-This is probably the sys at fault, but when you click on the top and it brings up the big icons, they're not corresponding to the correct items.

-I'm not quite sure what's triggering this, but I've run into an issue three times now when I soft reboot where it acts like it's first boot again and requires me to setup the digitizer and copies files, and then after that it restarts and then hangs on boot, requiring me to do a hard reset to start up the system. This seems to come up most often when the ROM crashes, which it seems to be doing a lot for me, and then I hit the reset button or take out the battery. This one is a pretty big problem for me.

ROM is running great. number of apps is nice and still plenty of space left over.
Installed the fix from Bonsai's page and the manilla is perfect now.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't flash the stock ROM, but flashed by renaming to diamimg and using the hotkey combo, which I have seen some say before is just as safe as flashing from stock. I'll flash to stock next time I get around to trying new ROMs and try yours out again.

I just discovered Gyrator, which you can get from XDA. Works great. Piece of advice if you go with it though is to go into its event settings in the program and delete the one that locks on rotate. Really obnoxious.

This is unrelated, but also just discovered SensorScroll also on XDA, which let's you scroll lists with the scroll wheel.

The two of them together are really what the Diamond should have shipped with by default. HTC severely dropped the ball by not taking advantage more of the scroll wheel and tilt sensors.

The only downside with them is that some programs don't like them, so you have to add exceptions for them.

Any chance we could see these integrated into the ROM with the exceptions pre-customized?
