Error during flashing of Rom (sprint)

I can't seem to flash a custom rom on my phone. it goes as far as the screen that shows the percentage completion and it stays on 0% and then I get an error asking me to do a recovery and I do that procress and it still doesn't work. I unlocked my phone and then ran the Diamond RUU. What am I doing wrong?
