Do you have a good version of EzInput? I can OEM it and put it in the next round.

Sadly enough that is the best version of EzInput 2.0 i've found so far. There are others but they don't have the arrows from the Topaz removed (or CompactQWERTY).

I'll find you a good EzInput 1.5 when i get home and PM you the URL.

Ya i can confirm that it's not working.

The program itself opens fine, then when trying to watch a video it says.
"Cannot play this video"

Exactly. Same for me... I'll get it fixed and reuploaded. I guess I can add a different EzInput while I'm at it. The key things were Compact qwerty and no arrows, right?

def the key points ya.

ive been using 21728 for a bit now, works pretty well, i set the PP to 32 tho to speed it up a little

Not sure which version, but it is one from savageracer that is in my kitchen already. If I think its close enough, I'll post screenshots for you to see what you think before I upload. From what I could tell in the oem folder tho, its the same layout as the EzInput in this last release, has compact qwerty and no arrows. We'll see in a few minutes when the flash is done tho :)

I've used his version before, it works well most of the time but I think there are a couple bugs, when you release, I will test and let you know.

I dont like the fact that the compact qwerty is 3 letters per key. Is there a regedit to switch it to the layout with 2 letters per key?

Thanks to indagroove I have youtube working again. Now I'm just trying to find an EzInput keyboard I like enough to add in.

Goldengraham: any ideas? Since I'll probably use the full qwerty anyway, do you care about the 3 letters per key?

NP, bro.

I just packaged up Merdinh's latest black SIP today. It's not EZ 2.0, but it's pretty slick. If you want the package, hit me up on IM. I'm watching the baby, if I don't respond right away..

I haven't tried that one out yet but I did download it this morning and was gonna give it a run after work. Do you experts know why a SIP thats built into a ROM is soo much faster than a cab installed SIP?

GG

ReeseMan: like... 3 per? like keypad style? or QWERTY style? The QWERTY is what does the CompactQWERTY for me. I find I can type much faster than regular qwerty, (tho i can rock landscape regular qwerty pretty fast, i just find using gyrator slows up my phone considerably)

Not sure, but it may have to do with the fact that most SIP OEMs have the dlls converted to modules, which isn't possible in cab installs.

Re: 6/1/09 - ROM | Kitchen | SYS - WM 6.5 21728 - Generic | All Carriers -

The 2.0 versions only include qwerty and phonepad (3 letters), but there's a hacked version somewhere that has compact qwerty (2 letters) instead of phonepad. If I remember correctly, there is some issue with showing both SIP input modules in 6.5 versions. I personally use finger kbd for qwerty, so I could care less about EZinput 2.0.

da_reeseboy 06-02-2009 04:14 PM

Re: 6/1/09 - ROM | Kitchen | SYS - WM 6.5 21728 - Generic | All Carriers -

So 3 letters is referred to as phonepad, whereas 2 letters is compact qwerty. Got it...

ROM seems to be coming along great, I just flashed to it yesterday. I think this could potentially become another widely used ROM, however right now there are just too many kinks to work out now, I'm gonna have to flash back to MightyROM.

Problems I've run into:
-Seeing the left and right movement arrows from Contacts bar on the screen that never go away even when moving around all the windows... making it show up on Contacts, Phone, Voicemail, etc.
-Getting stuck with the "Send [keyboard button] Menu" bottom bar from texting on the today screen..
-unable to close out of a contacts information when accessing it through the home screen favorite contacts bar.
-Titanium Weather just glitching up and not working correctly.
-Black Volume Panel (HTCVolume?) comes up automatically on startup, and often have troubles getting out of the screen anytime.
-Sometimes the screen will not turn off or on with a single short click of the power button. I feel like psShutXP is causing this...?
-Few other bugs I can't remember at the moment, I'll let you know if I run into more.

Other than that, looks good. I do know that the whole WM6.5 scene is buggy anyways... just giving you some areas to possibly focus on.

messaging seems to be slow at times but thats consistent with 6.5 roms i've tried. if i was a hardcore texter it would be very annoying.

Reeseboy,
New 1.1 works pretty good, youtube is money, ezinput is money, speed is reasonable (trying 24pp for a bit). I'll keep you updated if i discover anything.

LOL not likely at the moment...sorry. I've backed off of making roms but I figured if I'm making one for myself anyway then I might as well share it. And I personally am tired of the TF3D/TF3D2 layout, so I only use titanium myself.

Edit: You could download the kitchen and cook TF3D2 into it yourself if you wanted.

I never mess with the radar so I have no clue... sorry. You will have to search Showaco's thread over on xda-developers to see if there's a solution - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...51#post3304751

FIX Titanium weather radar

I got the Titanium radar to work on the Windows Default screen.
Backup your Weather settings, I made a copy and moved it to my Internal Memory.
Then unistall the Reese Titanium ** something. After unistalling this my Internet Explorer came back to the Default screen. I can now use Logmein again with PIE, as they only have a cab install that will work with PIE. I normally only run Opera as PIE screws with my internet setting on my cell carrier. But, have fixed this with a little SMS Mort script that was on Howards Forum some time ago.
I then installed the TitaniumWeather by Showaco 4.2 cab ( you can download this on XDA Developer ). Restore your weather settings and your good to go.
You can use this URL ( edited with your data ) for radar. I found it here or on XDA. Click the link then copy the address bar. PPCGeeks truncates the link.

I never noticed the fm radio missing until you pointed it out... I'll get that back in there. As far as youtube, is it opening up but not playing any videos? I had that issue on 21728 so I reuploaded a fixed one yesterday - 21728 v1.1 is fixed.

Edit: And I really am not liking F-town right now... it sucks for the time. I think I'm gonna be moving out of here soon.

Edit 2: FM Radio is under Multimedia on the start menu.
