Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 :: Shrinking the very large treeview
Don't want the extremely huge treeview that MR6 has by default? Here are the registry values to tinker...
HKLM\System\GWE\Commctrl Set value TreeviewExtraItemSpace to 2 (Number of pixels between treeview items - 2 pixels is what is normal I think) Set value TreeviewPlusMinus to 14 (pixels height/wide of +/- widget) |

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
I just flashed a Telus Diamond to this ROM, and it's looking great - thanks a lot to all involved. However, I have a frustrating problem. When the phone first boots, it shows the EVDO icon. But as soon as I run something that actually uses the data connection, it seems to try to connect using EVDO - I see the data indicator flash a few times - then it switches to 1X, and gets a connection. Oh...so...slow. Is this a known problem? Anything I can do?
From my Titan experience I'd expect to need a carrier CAB, but I can't seem to find any carrier CABs for the Diamond :( Help! Thanks. |

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Thanks! That's the same one I have for my Titan, I didn't know they worked on multiple devices. However, it doesn't seem to fix the problem - it does the same thing after installing that and resetting :(. Thanks again, though.

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Go into ##778#, (I think) Data Parameters, HDR Preferred and set it to Preferred.

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Thanks to you too! Modem Settings (not Data Parameters) has an HDR Hybrid Preferred setting, that's set to Enable. :(

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
I would just like to apologize to everyone here who uses/supports the MightyROM. I haven't been as active as of late as I was on vacation and now that I'm back (only one day mind you) I've almost been non-existent.
I have a load of PM's waiting for answering in which I've spent the last 2 hours tending to. I will work on getting my replies out to the other users I haven't gotten to yet. Please be patient :) New stuff IS brewing in the MightyROM workshop. I have a few new packages and sys's and such that I need to begin testing. I am waiting for the Telus HTC Snap to come in so I can buy it to play with until the Pro 2 is released. While doing so, It will allow me to flash my pro non-stop without worrying about anything. The snap will be so boring that i'll just be flashing my pro all day hehe... Be easy for now, keep helping eachother out, I appreciate everyone in here lending assistance and chipping in... Thank you everyone! -Mighty |

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Quick update on my issue - I did a hard reset, flashed back to the stock Telus rom, did another hard reset, and it still happens. So it doesn't appear to be ROM-related. I have it on escalation with Telus tech support now. If they can't come up with anything I'll post a separate thread. Thanks for all the ideas guys.

for those looking for the MSN weather widget, here is how I got it to work. I used the Enable Widgets cab (i forget who made it, so credit is given to them, just with i could remember the name) and then I grabbed the Weather.widget from the latest SYS and installed that after the cab. works for me, hope it works for others.
(Hope you dont mind Mike) |
Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Telus tech support resolved my problem, I have EVDO data now. Unfortunately, after flashing back to the Telus ROM for the tech support people and then flashing to MightyROM once I verified on the Telus ROM that stuff was fixed, MightyROM appears to be misbehaving quite badly.
I think I'm just gonna go back to stock Telus ROM for a bit and see if I can set it up how I like it. Thanks again to all who offered help. edit: yay. Did a hard reset, flashed back to stock Telus, did another hard reset, flashed to MightyROM, did ANOTHER hard reset, configured it, and all appears to be working right, fingers crossed :). Thanks for the work on the ROM, Mike, it feels excellent! edit again: sent a lil donation. |

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Ok i think i kind of solved my own problem with the SMS, I downloaded one of those sprint all in one zips (my phone is the sprint version) and installed the 1kb sized sms cab and did a soft reset, tried using SMS and it crashed but when I tried it the second time, it worked!! and has been working well for a few days now, I can send and receive texts without crashing!! woot woot
On another note if I am writing a text and i stop and S2U2 locks, when i try to unlock it acts like im typing on the keyboard from the text, i have to push the home button then i can unlock...weird but very minor compared to not being able to text....hope this helps others |

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
Need help getting tethering to work again. I disabled the phone and data when getting on a plane. Before the flight, tethering worked fine. After the flight, I re-enabled phone and data (both work. I can talk, send messages, and use opera on the phone). However, now I can't get tethering to work. After my phone prompts me to select use Phone as Modem, it just sits at 'waiting for network'. Any ideas?

did you try soft reset? i had a same problem, well sort of, but it went away after the soft reset. |
Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com
I've tried numerous resets, but I may just have to resort to a hard reset if I can't get an answer :(
