I installed Titanium Project and it works pretty smoothly as well; I don't know if that was redundant or not, but I had failed to see weather integration on ROM itself, and since I'm really new at this ROM thing I went for easy rather than exact.

The only snag I hit, and I don't know if it's Titanium or the release, is when I get a call and the phone is locked, the phone will only flash for at least 5 or 6 rings, then actually start to ring. If I'm not looking at my phone, I miss the calls. Anyone else noticed this?

you cannot use the lock feature with this dialer because it will cause this delay. try lockmelite or throttlelock.

Does this 6.5 ROM have some version of TF3D/Manila/Rhodium/Topaz included? I know that the beta did, but I see no mention of it anywhere here.

Gotcha. Sucks though... you were talking about a different dialer, can I change that? Anywho I'll try out a few things and post the results, thanks!

ouch...i just flashed MR5, installed my .cab files and bad news... i got the corrupted ringtone bug.
first i went to start>settings>sounds and notifications and set a mp3 ringer for incoming calls. i pressed okay. then i was like "oh wait...let me choose a different ringer" and so from the tf3d home screen i pressed phone>options and changed the ringer. that's when i got the disheartening corrupt ringtone message...i even tried to change back to one of the default .wav ringtones and still got the message so i just soft reset my phone...none of my ringers seem to work now (stock and custom)...looks like it's back to the beta...can anybody confirm that the bug hasn't been a problem on the MR5 beta rom?
oh and another thing...my opera crashes shortly after i open it...more soft resets for me =(
for those who are wondering...i have a folder on my storage card labled "my ringtones" with them in it and they are all .mp3...i've had this procedure work sucessfully on many previous roms including MR < 4.7

Mike, what has changed between the beta and this version? I don't want to hard reset because it's kind of a pain to download all my Gmail accounts even though I have the SDconfig.txt set up to import it. I saw your post in the other MR thread so if it's jsut a few registry changes then I can do that manually.

I may switch to the beta as well....the mp3 trimmer wont even let me save any mp3's....

Also, I realized that the vibrate doesn't even work on the ringer as well. And within like 10 seconds the S2A dissapears and it makes the person calling me as a missed call....blah..

I REALLLY liked everything else about this ROM though. I'm going to try out other 6.5 ROMs then once this problem is fixed, come back to mighty! Thank you again for all ur hard work mighty, can't wait until this problem is fixed!

(oh yea, and is there a way to get rid of that pop-up box when you have incoming calls as well?)

You should be able to install and wm6.5 dialer and use it instead of this cooked in htc dialer. the problem with the 6.5 dialers is they are not as clean looking, smaller numbers, just not as nice to look at. But, they work well with calls coming through without a delay like the htc dialers, and you can just lock your device with the built-in lock without problems which is very nice. I would like to know what Mike thinks about the 6.5 dialers and whether it's compatible to install one on this rom.

Anyone experiencing opera crashes, which I have not but try this. Go into opera settings>advanced>uncheck plugins. This should stop crashes. Hope this helps.

Well, I might be completely off here, but when I installed Titanium I believe I had the 6.5 dialer, and since I returned to stock ROM I have the HTC dialer (that I'm sure obviously). However since I uninstalled Titanium, it's worse; now the phone doesn't ring at all, which is probably what you were saying about the HTC dialer. So my question is: how come I had that issue the first time when I wasn't using the HTCs...?

No Opera bugs here, and apart from the ring thing, everything else works better that I would have expected. No corrupt ringtones either, but I use only stock rings (yeah, I'm boring).

Sorry for being such a noob by the way ](*,)

no problem man, we are all noobs, just different varieties:) Just a little confused on your response. Titanium is already installed on Mighty 5.0. you said you installed it, is that correct? Flashing back to shipped rom will bring your phone back to factory settings with the htc dialer from the original rom. It should work fine. did you mean titanium (mighty 5.0)

no corrupt ringtones either for me, same reason, only stock.

there's nothing to install, the 6.5 dialeed is built into the sys. you just gotta disable the htc dialer with advanced configuration or a simple reg edit. I think the 6.5 dealer b my rom is pretty sexy.

yes, sorry Groove for the incorrect info. so you just need to use adv config to change the dialer to the 6.5 dialer. then use one of skins on this forum to make it look nice. Groove has a ton. I agree, they look much better than the stock 6.5 dialer.

so jw how many people are getting the ringtone error?

maybe keep a tally so mighty can decide whether enough people are having a problem and if he needs to try to fix it (if its only like 2-3 people, then it may be something WE are doing wrong)

I have the "This ring tone file is corrupted or unavailable. Please choose a different ring tone." ring tone error and it will not go away at all, even after a soft reset. I will switch to a WAV for now but hopefully it gets fixed.

FYI - this morning I flashed to MR5 release and ring tones were fine but the phone was completely unstable. Ended up flashing 3 more times and doing all sorts of resets, but phone was never stable. Flashed to shipped Sprint ROM and radio (was on MR4.7 with phone 1.07.06 - the recent Telus one) then flashed MR5 again and phone is very stable but am getting the ring tone error now.

Ok I probably got it all mixed up! What I meant was I installed this addon, the Titanium WM7 Project. When using this, I had the regular dialer... I think. I then uninstalled it to make sure that wasn't causing a problem, but like I said it got worse with the HTC dialer. Anywho I'll look into it like Groove suggested.

I think it depends on the carrier; some phones seem to be different. Mine always flashed this way before as far as I remember.

Oh, and I am now plagued with the Opera and Youtube crashes... :(
