Calku's Roms

I need some help. I dont know if I am doing something wrong. If I use a custom rom built or I build on in Calkus kitchen, I get horrible battery life. A full charge wont last 4 hrs. I did all the tweaks, turn things off etc. But I still get terrible battery life. Can you some one help with this? Thanks

Andy

I'm getting great battery life with latest build..average +/- 100ma discharge. Radio issue maybe? I was getting horrible battery life on the Sprint 1.04 radio. Have you tried the newest sprint radio yet?

How is the signal strength where you spend most of the day? Is the phone dropping to 1x everytime it needs to make a data connection?

Oh yea, one more thing. The battery drain issue only happens with Calku's roms or kitchen. I get good life with other roms. Still have 60-70% left at the end of the day (4pm).

Hmm.. are you loading the reg edits when you cook with the kitchen?
You also might want to look into programs->system tools->battery->battery saver settings.cab?

This is one of the cabs I load everytime I cook a new rom..

Also, out of curiousity, which build are you using? 4.6.4?

i noticed once i flashed(hardspl, radio, rom) i am only recieving 1x data, i used to be able to use evdo for the majority of my coverage. could be my radio, but i'm with cellular south and not sure of which one would have the best coverage/performance

did you try also locking your phone? and did you turn on the setting where only the power button activates the screen once locked? the screen could be displaying in your pocket if not

good suggestion.. i run a custom rom built by calku's kitchen 4.6.4, but i run 6.1 and almost completely stripped down.. also, i have a habit of running cleartemp before locking my device with S2U2.. my battery life can go for almost 2 days on a full charge..

you also might want to flash your stock carrier rom before flashing again.. this may help, esp if you flashed calku over another custom rom..

My battery life on his latest rom has been great. I was at 80% at 7am and right now im at 40% with texting, making calls, and using orb for a little bit(20 mins) for most of the day. I use the battery saver cab and nueDynamicClock to save battery.
