Possible to still have Sprint Diamond on VZW?
 

I've been doing some reading, and I just want to make sure this is clear - is it NOT possible to take a new Sprint Diamond and use it on the Verizon network anymore??

I saw a thread that gave detailed instructions for someone that did exactly this...taking a Sprint phone over to the Verizon service and showed how to activate it without even having to talk to a single representative by using their automated activation.

So, yes... it is possible. I can't pull up that thread right now 'cause I am about an hour past when I should have gone to bed anyway. laters.

Thank you so much! I've been looking, and I have an extra diamond for my gf, but I can't find the instructions anywhere, except for the *228 option 3 which doesn't work anymore. If you have time, can you just point me in the direction as long as it isn't the *228 one? Thank you again.

Oh, and does anyone know where you can find a stock rom for the Diamond (VZW)? I've been looking, and for some reason, I can't find one. I'd like to have the branding and such for her.

people used to use the *228 option 3 thing after setting up the diamond with an msl code of 000000 and placing a vzw prl on the phone. vzw has closed the loophole i was told.

You cannot do it. Please do not waste your time. It can't be done. I tried it and basically it comes down to VZW refused to add the Sprint ESN to there database. Even though the device would work perfectly, they will not activate it. I tried to do it just this month, finally (which is what big red wants) I just bit the bullet and bought the Verizon Diamond. Just got it today actually.
