05-05-09 Almost Stock Sprint Rom Build 2 and Kitchen Base

Although I have been cooking my own roms for about a year now, this is my first public release. Some of us here really feel the last Sprint shipped rom (2.00.651.7) is very stable and fast with great battery usage. Unfortunately the bloatware leaves us too little space. Stopping customizations is not an option and if you manage to do it, performance is sacrificed.

Here is what I did:
Removed...
Autoupdate
Transcriber
Welcome Center
Touch Mobile Guide
Sprint Nav
Sprint TV
Sprint Music
Software Store
Express In Rom
Autover.exe
AddContacts.exe
Gaurdian.exe
Voice Command
Oz Messenger
Windows Live

Added...
Diamond TF3D Config
Diamond Tweak
PHM RegEdit
psShutXP

Thanks go to Calkulin and Ghetto who's kitchens I've been cooking with for quite some time. Also Indagroove and all the other helpful people here whom I have learned from.

I figure no screenshots are needed since we all know what it looks like.

Re: Almost Stock Sprint Rom

Hi again,

I assume Opera is baked in?

Picture Mail in or out?

Looks like a perfect ROM for me! I like the new stock, but hate that I can't kill customizations. IIRC, in the first stock, I had found or modified Nav and TV to be installable to internal storage; may do that again.

I've largely been away from here for about 6 months, so please excuse the noob question - I assume I need to run an unlocker? If so, can you point me to one? Or, do I just need to read a sticky post?! :)

Looking forward to getting it! (Another question - I used to be able to easily post to the FTP here. Is that no longer an option? Is that why you posted elsewhere?).

TIA

Picture Mail and Opera are cooked in. The site is still under maintenance. I used CMONEX's unlocker.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed when I flashed the new stock that I had already used CMONEX's unlocker sometime last year, so guess I'm good to go.

Thanks in advance for sharing your work.
