That's it. Tested with my Pro and my wife's diamond.

http://forum.htcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=2 is where you get the files. These have been posted on this forum several times and you can find them if you search.

This never worked for me either. I could receive pics but even though on my end no one could receive mine.

I've been using GrooveROM or FuFu wm6.5 ROM's. I just install the attached files to get them working on Alltel with everything. I haven't had any issues with any ROM using them.

Installing the DCD cab is what worked for me on the past 2 ROM's I've tried.

Re: Alltel Users - What ROM are you running?

I wonder what makes these phones different that the method I used works for me (and on two different phones) I rarely receive MMS from non WM phones. But my father has an old EnV on verizon and we can send back and forth just fine. Even though his pics look like sh t on my VGA screen.

MMS is the first thing I do after installing ROM. The method I use does make the program respond differently than stock ROM. I receive my MMS on my email tab and send from there also. I couldn't get any of the other methods posted in this forum to work for me. I think I spent 2 weeks trying different methods and when I got this to work I assumed that any other Pro or Diamond would respond the same way.

Also I am sorry about the searching comment, i didn't mean that everyone wasn't searching. I said that mostly cause I didn't want to post files that are already posted in ten other spots. I am going to try out the DCD method and see what happens with my two phones.

Iv only had my Alltel Diamond for a few weeks now but Iv flashed several ROMs My favorite is Mightys ROM, rstoyguy has a really nice one also but its a loaded ROM and memory was an issue, plus its heavily geared towards Sprint.

Hi,
I started out with Juicy rom then Conflipper until they quit doing regular updates... Now I have been bouncing around quite a bit. I am currently using Mystery's lates rom. IntxRom also worked nice on my phone. After learning how to install the alltel carrier cabs, life is good.

I had issue with small mms pictures (received) that was driving me nuts for a long time. Thansks to kwattro76 and the post below that issue is now fixed.

If your on Alltel, here is an easy fix...just install cab and your mms pics will be corrected to the correct size. Make sure after installing cab that you go to your mms settings and select the alltel connection if its not already selected for you.

Re: Alltel Users - What ROM are you running?

i flashed mighty after a long break, and it felt a little outdated for one particular reason: keyboard. there is simply no going back for me to anything other than the finger keyboard. seing that old, stock diamond keyboard scared the crap out of me, but mighty rom is very nice. its hard to pinpoint a perfect rom, really. i tried them all, loved them all. but right now i am hooked on calku's kitchens. i love making it my way, though i know my limits, which is pissing me off. u real chefs out here, customize sys files n such, which is all the difference, so i would say, go for rom that feels most comfortable to you. will the keyboard pop up or not, menus the way you want it, presets and such. skip the programs. u can always instal those. how well do u sync with the rom? do you finish each other's sandwiches? so to speak, lol, is it your type of smartphone? for example, i hated it when everytime i switched conversations in msn it poped up a keyboard. it was annoying. i ended up closing it more often then using it, so the other rom that didn't have that feature enabled was a big plus for me. these types of things, the registry tweaks, n such are where the chefs earn their name, for you.
