Help i flashed my diamond w\ Mighty rom 4.8 and now I have no activesync . Can't connect, wtf?

hard reset the phone. Why would need to have a poll for this question?

Start>Settings>System Tab>Clear Storage, when it resets, you should have active sync again. If not, flash the shipped rom of your carrier again.

It's probably there, just not shown.

Go to the settings tab and click Sync Data, that should open up Activesync.

If it's not there / nothing happens I'd hard reset or reflash it.

On your phone hit start/settings hit the tab "Connections". now hit "USB to PC" icon and deselect "Enable faster data synchronization" hit "OK" in the upper right corner. and hook up the phone to your pc. active sync should recognize it. hope that help.:mrgreen:

make sure your usb isn't hooked up during hard reset.

I've been having this problem ever since mighty for 4.3ish with mighty mikes with my Vista Machine. I just live with it :)

Also be sure to restart your computer. I know that helps on the PC side of things, esp with WMDC and Vista.

I noticed that if you reboot your computer..then plug the phone into the USB port...Active Sync usually sets up the new relationship and active sync.

mighty rom is not a good rom to run on the diamond its a good tp rom but not on diamond i would tell you to go with a dif rom or make your own

and also if u need to reflash go into boot loader / tri color screen search if you dont know how if your sync still wont work and connect to pc from bootloader but as i said mighty roms not good on diamond

I have to agree. Most of the ROMs on this site simply suck. I can't find a single one that allows me to just have the phone work off the battery for 12hrs straight. Mighty is 'ok', but if you do some web browsing, then exit, the phone gets warm in your pocket and the battery is dead in 2hrs.

The truth is every ROM builder here is an amateur, and none of them really understand the complexity.

Some ROMs screw up Activesync, some screw up the alarms, some screw up the menus, some screw up the keyboards. Then, almost all of them use the POS called TF3D, just because there is no imagination of how things could work better.

As you can see, I'm not a member of the fan clubs. Just stating an opinion.

OK, we get it ... you don't like much anything about this site or the custom roms being offered ... even though the chefs and others don't do this for a living. Lots of hard work and helpful exchange of ideas happening here. So, I have an idea ... why don't you take that "opinion" of yours, and go tell someone who cares!

Yeah ... that would be an issue with the radio and/or hardware...

Maybe its the crappy phones that we love that suck, and windows mobile sucks, and not custom roms but all roms that have problems and thats why we try to find one that has the least amount of problems with the way we use it.

Maybe you suck and thats why you started a poll like a dork.

WE LOVE OUR CRAPPY PHONES AND ALL THE PEOPLE THAT SPEND TIME MAKING THEM LESS CRAPPY! SO BACK OFF!

If all this stuff Sucks sooo much, why are you wasting your time here, let alone the time it takes to register and post? I think we all love the custom roms and tweaks we have available, no matter which Chef you choose to support.

Hey guys, thanks for getting me fixed up, it obviously wasn't a ROM issue just didn't know the setting in comm manager was there like that. However, thanks for the help I'm fairly new and been reading what seems like forever so started trying some of your thing so please keep helping me along...

What a crappy attitude! I have been using "baked" roms for years. Yes some are just OK, but let me tell you, I was about to give up on my Diamond Until I loaded one of these custom roms. Yes perhaps some of the bakers are perhaps not god-like-gurus, but most of these people who from what I can do a fantastic job. Perhaps the people who are super negative and starting silly poles should themselves either lighten up, or leave this forum.

To all those who bake these ROMS, we all very much appreciate your hard and creative work. I am using Might 4.8 and IT ROCKS!!!!!

Activesync and partnerships are wonky at times, I would not blame these ROMS. I have had so many issues with it with my standard ROM. Might ROM was perfectly fine. I also use push email via activesync server... worked flawlessly. :headbang:
