Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
Can't disagree with you there, but Rhodium is still in beta, there are still many kinks to work out. If it works for some users upon flashing to stock rom first, then it must be cooked in. Personally I've never had it working though with these ROMS (without installing the cab), regardless of what I do.

Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
This is a great ROM. I have tried all of the Rhodium builds so far and this one seems to be the most stable and not full of bloat ware. I would like to see some things updated like the Album and maybe the multi select option added like in some other ROM's. I did flash the stock sprint first. Hopefully the next version will address this. This weekend xmodx should be releasing more fixes, but Great work.

Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
The issue I'm having is in the Rhodium manila you can access the programs tab by clicking the start menu, I'm unable to make this happen, was just wondering if anyone knew what exact cab needed to be installed to correct this.

Here you go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...6&d=1237922245 (link from the xbmods rhodium page on xda) This is a random issue for some people, happened to me with the first build. Edit: (forgot to say this is the start menu fix) |

Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
I never had to apply the fix with this ROM in V1 or 2.. In fact I've never had to apply it on any ROM at all, just when I installed it manually before any Rhodium Roms had been released.
P.S you may just have to flash again, maybe even flash your stock rom beforehand. |

Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
Yep I would try that first, if all else fails try the 'enabled start menu.cab' cab in the TF3D2_Goodies.zip
file that was posted for this ROM. http://smartphonejunkie.com/attachme...5&d=1238437086 (I checked what as in the cabs and it is different than the one posted on XDA, although one of the files is very similar) |

Previously my fix has been to install the XBmod_VGA_Rhodium_Manila FIX V1C over the ROM and that would work. |
Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
we did not cook in the new start menu....personally i think it looks horrible and no use when u can just slide your finger to the programs tab....just as easy.....fm radio is not cooked in and will not be, you can install via cab if you want it. For the issue on adding a new contact i wasnt aware of the problem since i usually just add contacts from my phone pad....it does use the new contact card that way, but not sure y you cant through th3d2...will take a look into that....again more support can be found on the actuall thread on SPJ, and I really would like to have issues regarding the rom and not tf3d2, and we are currently making a new build with final rhodium from xboxmod....thanks for taking the time to flash ATR and i hope you guys stay with it until all kinks are worked out.....

Re: [03/29/09] ATR 30 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
I posted this over at SPJ but i thought i'd share this with you guys too.........
Here's Just an example of how great the battery power is in our roms..... I was currently testing a new version of fast charge from no2chem. Basically if your power is already above 70% the fast charge does not take effect due to safety for the battery. I had unplugged my phone at 8am this morning when i left the house to run errands. Talked on the phone for a while, texted a bunch, jump on mobile to hit spj up and see if any of you guys needed support, basically i did moderate use throughout the day....back to first part, so sitting here at 1:30am well over 15 hours and I had 73% power left, I needed to test and see if the new version of fast charge took in 900mAh+.....so i needed to drain the battery.....i turned on wifi, bluetooth(connected to headset),turned on data, opened opera and minimized it, and then went to youtube and started watching snowboarding vids, i watched probably 8 or 9 vids at at least 4 min each.....figured it had drained enough just to test. So i diconnected data, bluetooth wifi, ect. after all of that at least 30 min on youtube, my battery only drained 3%!.....no joke, its real people. Dont be fooled by impersonators of a "great rom for battery".....call me a F#ckin liar and ill slap you accross the face lmaooo.....sorry for the story but i thought it was an appropriate story to inform you....fEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR BATTERY LIFE EXPERIENCES!!!! |
Re: [04/02/09] ATR 30 V2 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
Has anyone noticed anything strange with the outlook email?
In your outlook email, open one of your incoming emails and see if it looks as it should. When I open an email, there's nothing listed other than the message, no sender info, only the subject and sent time and date. Can a few of you open an email and see if you're seeing the same? |
Re: [04/02/09] ATR 30 V2 Manila/Rhodium TF3D (build 21028)
I just downloaded the tf3d2 diamond_ROM_v2 and it looks nothing like the beautiful setup you have in your screenshots. did i download the wrong one? also ive tried to open the two zip files and winzip tells me they are not valid archives

JonRom 1.9: standby: 13mA idle screen bright: 75mA idle dimmed 57mA during call: 374-440mA ATR TF3d2 V2: standby: 13mA idle screen bright: 84mA idle dimmed: 57mA during call: 341-440mA As you can see, results are almost identical. TaylorSPJ, let me know if there's something I need to do to enable your battery saving hacks. I flashed your rom as directed and these are the results I got. Unless I hear otherwise, I conclude that there's nothing in this rom with regard to battery life that hasn't already been implemented in mine and other roms. edit: I'm trying real world testing by running tethered through bluetooth, making calls, etc. So far the battery indicator has stayed at 90%. I can't tell yet whether it's just not updating quickly or if it's really going down that slowly. Will post further results later. edit2: Unfortunately, it looks like for one, the battery indictator is set to 10% increments, and for two, it is set to a very infrequent poll rate. The indicator finally went down to 80% after about 20 minutes, but then I soft reset and it went down to 60% immediately. This is after only about 45 minutes of heavy use (from 100% to 60%). edit3: Now down to 20% after 15 more minutes of heavy use. Again, it stayed at 60% until I restarted. |
