With wm6.0, 6.1 my battery life was terrieble. But now with wm6.5 my battery life is great. Why is that?

That's odd, 6.5 generally has worse battery life.


Which ROM were you using on each?

There never was a 6.0 Diamond rom. I would guess that you were running stock 6.1 Diamond roms before, and now you're running custom 6.5 roms that have battery enhancements implemented.

Thats right sorry about the wm6.0 error, I am OLD. But its weird sitting idle my diamond with 6.5 draws 57ma. With wm6.1 the best i could get was 197ma. Its funny right now I am using your 6.5 rom Groove. Thats for the reply and for being gentle with me......

Wow...I've had nothing but terrible battery life on 6.5.....I just checked and my device at idle is draining at 229ma....OUCH!!! Any tweaks to help reduce this....I've seen this on both Groove and FuFu 6.5 ROMS.

Use a Program called "Battery Monitor".

There's a utility that's part of the neu-tools that tells you charge and discharge rates. I don't know the location of the CABs right off hand, but I think they are part of the addiitonal CABs offered in ZIP format from Groove's first post of his ROMs.

My Diamond runs between 50 and 70 mAh on idle using 6.1. Are you sure you're not running anything else?

I've been trying to figure this out for about a week now....with nothing running, discharge stays steady at.....whoa....I just looked and it was at 551ma then dropped to 220, a text came in and it jumped to 280 then back down to 220.
