Oh alright. Thanks a bunch.
question though: when do we need to have evdo on? Im wondering if I can just have 1x activated for most of the time.

Well, if you want fast internet, you want EVDO. If you want slow, dial-up-like speeds, you want 1X.

SO basically... when I want to use data, flip to EVDO. When I'm web browsing and such right? (I dont keep data on all of the time)

It's about 3-5x the speed of the dialup :P

But yeah, when you want to use data, toggle into EV, when you're done toggle back to 1X.

THis should save you a tremendous amount of battery life.

not trying to butt in or anything, but in my past experience, incoming call lagging also caused by radios... for instance, i had a terrible lag when i was using the original sprint radio but it has been fixed since i switched to the newer version, or verizon radio was very good in that sense. of course, it is depends on location as well. :drunken:

Ok so I did some testing by calling my own phone. The diamond registers the call almost right away by flashing only for the first couple rings, then flashes and vibrates, and finally it flashes, vibrates and audibly rings by the fourth ring or so. I have the phone set to "vibrate and ring" option already and not the "vibrate then ring" option.

Any ideas?

have you had any problem with same radio and with other than intx rom? or is it this like new? many people here may not agree with me but, imho, some roms are better matched up with certain radios. i used to have problems with ringing being lagging but by flashing to other radios and i remember solving the problem. basically i am suggesting changing radio. i don't know where you are but i would start with verizon radio.

Did you use advancedconfig or diamondtweak to turn off your data connection after x min? It does not work for CDMA and causes the exact symptoms you described. You can search in the diamond forum here for more info on this and the reg. key that needs changed to fix it.

i had a same experience, and it is usually address problem.
try typing the address directly,

https://www.google.com/voice/m
