PPCGeeks - [Final] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.23016 (Build 23016.5.3.0)

Can someone please explain what is so great about this ROM that everyone feels the need to have a memorial for it, or go giving their money away to individuals instead of groups (like PPCKitchen)? Why not just cook your own ROM?
