User Customization

Is there a way to create a custom user customization that will auto install all of my programs once I flash my phone with someone elses ROM?

For example I have been using RSTG's ROM lately and there have been several updates in the past week or two (all of them great) and every time I have to reinstall the programs that I have purchased that are not included in the ROM. I wouldn't expect every program to be included so this isn't a gripe, but a simple case of lazy.

I know that I have seen threads about creating some sort of file that will "automatically" setup my email accounts and reset ring tones and things like that but I haven't read anything about actually installing programs that aren't in the ROM.

I know I could cook my own ROM with my own programs, but there are people that are making ROMS way better than I could so I don't see the need for me to re-invent the wheel, I just need to put spinners on it! LOL

As an alternative... there is a great program called Sashimi that you may want to check out as well.

(The site seems to be messed up currently but check later if you like)

I agree... very easy to use and lots of neat tricks it can do.

And with Sashimi, you can easily add cabs to the internal storage rather than the device storage.

Looks like I'll have to check out Sashimi now. :p Hated how UC never installed stuff to internal storage.

SASHIMI was EXACTLY what I was looking for, I am loving the idea of only setting things up 1 time!

Thanks again for all the good info.

My upcoming rom build is Sashimi compliant, which means if you have Sashimi installed to internal storage, your cabs can be auto-installed on 2nd boot.
