ActiveSync Issues!!!!
 

hello all,

I've seen many activesync issues before but never found out the solution.

I've been running MightyMike's rom lately and was attempting to put on 4.4.5 and can't get damn activesync working.

So i decided to put my stock MTS rom back on and the issue still arises, it even gives me an error now. error with app name "rapiclnt". On both rom's the phone connects for a second and then flashes Error then goes to Not Connected.

I turned off advanced active sync or whatever its called.

Reinstalled windows mobile center a few times on my laptop and work computer.

Hard Reset a bunch of times..

Dono what else to try.

It could be the port and I have been using a normal USB mini cord to charge at times at work. It could be that port problem but how would I know forsure??

First things first, try a different USB port and/or cable or a combination of the two. And yes standard USB cables with a mini plug at one end work just fine.

I have.. doesn't work, different ports, computers, cables... so on.

i just found some drivers to install and did a reboot now its stuck on the Windows Mobile Startup Screen

On your computer ... can you reboot into safe mode? If so, from there do a system restore back to the last rom you were able to successfully install. Worth a try ...

it's not gonna work..

my activesync hasn't worked since flashing to mighty rom 4.something. nothing works i get the same issues you have. in another thread i mentioned i'm not blaming mighty.. so please no one think that.

anyway, i tried like everything. i also got a new computer recently and it still doesnt work. it's the phone...
no clue how to fix it. i've googled and googled.

One last thought ... have you tried on an XP computer?

I'm in the same boat, it was running fine on Vista 64 untill about Mighty 4.x but now all I can get is a connection error. I've uninstalled Mobile Device Center, re-installed etc. still not luck.

But luckily everything is still fine on my XP machine.

If someone has gone through this before and recovered it would be great to hear from you.

yes, but not entirely. it appeared to actually work at first, but i didn't connect it long enough. i'll probably try it fully tomorrow. don't think i have office on that computer though.
thing is.. i have a a touch also and it works fine with vista and 7.

I'm not sure if it will work for you but when I flashed Mighty's 4.9.4 I had the same issue. I couldn't figure out what to do either and kept searching, but didn't find any answers. I would connect via USB to my PC (I'm running Vista 64bit) but ActiveSync would never boot up. Finally I connected my phone then ran Windows Update and it downloaded a windows mobile device driver that allowed ActiveSync to connect. I've actually had this problem two different times and the Update worked both times. I hope this helps...
