Good call. That information that should have been included (if that's the case). To the OP: If that indeed is the case, you can also just copy and past the file to a different folder (not in the root), and the regular hard reset method should work as well.

You know, he doesn't even have the CMONEX bootloader. DO NOT FLASH A NEW ROM. It will brick your phone! You can hard reset it all you want though.

He said he already flashed a ROM to it.

It must have been the new leaked Sprint ROM that OMJ posted, which is fine to flash without unlocking.

OP: Just make sure you don't flash any custom roms, and you'll be fine.

It won't brick it, it just won't flash. You need to unlock your phone, so it shows CMONEX in the bootloader. Then you can flash any custom CDMA om here.

If the OP can get into the phone and send text messages should he not also be able to go to Start\Settings\System and then use Clear Storage to hard reset?

Yes. I don't see why not.

BINGO... I was up till like 4 in the morning but ultimately this is what I ended up doing. I can't believe it took me that long to finally figure it out this way. But thanks to all for the info and input. My phone is working again and I have the new Sprint ROM working.

Oh good, I wasn't the only one who noticed this.

So, you didn't flash a custom ROM, you flashed a shipped ROM from your carrier, which will always work (this makes a difference).
