Help need for Sprint Diamond
 

Can someone provide a solution for below issue :

while I'm switching off my Sprint Diamond by Power button it automatically Switch on after 10 sec.

some one suggested to Hard Reset it but while I'm doing Hard Resetting by Power+Vol Down+Enter+Reset and once it shows the warning screen which tell you to press Vol Up key for Hard Resetting or press any key to Cancel. in this stage it is not responding to any key except Reset hole. I've also tried to remove the Battery for few min. and as I'm putting it back, phone start automatically.

I've also flash it with Shipped ROM (CE OS 19965 Build 19965, Radio 1.00.00F) but no luck. Not sure whether something happened with Bootloader.

Please suggest...

You can also hard reset by going to settings>system>clear storage

I've already processed thru Clear Storage but no luck.

go to bootloader and reflash the( rainbow screen )see if that helps:mrgreen:

Hi, can you give the steps for performing this.

Power + Vol Down + Reset using stylus tip
Bootloader says :

Security Unlocked
DIAM500
SPL-0.57.0000
MicroP-Diam (LED) vB
PSOC-Diam STAGE_EVT v20

then flash any rom from the bootloader

They can't flash since they're not unlocked (with the exception of the two sprint shipped ROMs, though the test ROM may or may not flash).

Follow the unlocking tutorial, then flash any ROM you want, and see if that works.

Thanx Tobey / Ratman, for your valuable input, want to know one thnig, is it necessary to flash with non-Sprint ROM for get rid of this issue.

Can I just unlock the phone thru Diamond Unlocker provided by Tobey (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062) then flash it with Sprint Shipped ROM (CE OS 19965 Build 19965, Radio 1.00.00F) available on the same post. Any major difference between Stock and Shipped ROM ?

Is it possible to flash with any Custome ROM (eg. Jucy Rom 4.4) then flash back to Sprint Shipped ROM, in case I'm facing issues with loaded Custome ROM. Because I heard if Radio has been upgraded then it can not be revert to previous. Please correct if I'm a victim for carrying wrong information :newb:


Note : I've already tried flashing above shipped ROM but that time phone was not Unlocked but after flashing problem was still there.

Even I've the same confusion for ROM upgrading.

Note: Any refers only to Diamond ROMs.

Without being unlocked, you can flash any shipped ROM from your carrier.

Once unlocked you can flash any ROM.

Once unlocked, the only way to relock is to run the relocker.

No custom ROM on this site contains a Radio, with the exception of the Shipped ROMs (.exe) and the files specifically stating that they are only a Radio (in the Radio thread).

The radio can be upgraded or downgraded to any Radio listed in the stickied Radio thread.

The unlocker was provided by Cmonex, I just helped test/package/write instructions.
