Is it me or...
When I set my pagepool to 20 MB, my Diamond is now flying.
OK, I played around with pagepool since I got my Diamond and it ranges from 8 MB to 32 MB. But what I noticed is that with 20 MB, my device seems very fast. Also, I recently use the OEM package from the Manilla HD Hybrid (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=54935) in place of the regular Manilla. But I don't think it's the difference maker. I mean it's all TF3D and it should take the same if not more resources. Any thoughts?? |
Re: Is it me or...
I definitely find myself partial to 20MB. Although I have never tried higher than that.
This link is older, but it gives some interesting information about how memory works on a mobile device. Someone may have some more update information to share. http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/...17/494177.aspx |

I personally prefer a 24mb pagepool. Has anyone tried a 64mb pagepool? lol

how many programs do you have open at once? |
Re: Is it me or...
very few. most people keep all applications closed anyway. 48mb on touch pro isn't a big deal.

Re: Is it me or...
OK, I can swear that this 20mb pagepool makes my device much much faster. Why? Because I can scroll thru a list of some 50ish emails and it is very very fast. I mean with previous pagepool like 32mb, scrolling is somewhat "jumpy" but not the case for 20mb. I didn't change anything except for the pagepool between 32mb and 20mb.
Another reason to love the Diamond now!!!!!! |
Re: Is it me or...
can someone advise how to change the pagepool please, would love to see if it makes a difference on mine.
