i have not read all 140 post so sorry if this question has already been asked but do you need to hard spl your device inorder to load this rom? thanks

if you phone is locked meaning you haven't flashed before. yes.

I'm going to flash to the leaked ROM, but i have a question for y'all. I wanted to put that stock splash screen on there and i just wanted to know if i need to do anything special. I saw a post before where someone asked if you do it before or after the flash. I know that i need to do it after, but how exactly do i do it?

When i enzipped the rar file i get an RUU folder. Do i just run the update utility or run something else?

After you flash the leaked rom, rom customizations are finished etc, you just run the update utility again from that boot splash ruu folder. Just like you said :)
I guess you could "kinda say", its like a hard reset with only the boot splash changing if that makes any sense lol.

Someone I saw posted HTC released this ROM. And someone else asked here where it was listed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just wanted to be sure because there wasn't anything in the RUU about the splash. I figured better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the cab, that will make it easier. I'm just too paranoid i guess when it comes to my phone and just wanted to be sure it did it right. Oh, and i can use a cab file. :-D

I've been running this rom since last night and I'm having no problems/issues like some are describing above.
I ALSO want to mention my phone seems to love 100% A LOT more than it did with other roms. I've had it off the charger for maybe 5 hours, used it minimally, and its still at 100% :D
