OregonLAN - I understand where you are coming from but look at it from this way.

These chefs cook these roms as a hobby for all of us who can't do it.
They make these devices much more fun and use-able then mundane stock roms.
I think I can safely say that we have ALL benefited one way or another from these great chefs and their creativity.

If they want a little credit then i think they can use a splash screen or two, why not?
If they choose not then it's fine too. If you don't like it, you can always go to another chef who doesn't have that ego tag right?

Long as your not paying for it, not a big deal right?

If you really don't like it then with little research, you can switch the splash screen with something that's more "you".

Keep in mind that these chefs do this work for free to help people like you and me.
Don't be surprised that they feel this way, it's like biting the hand that feeds you in a way.

Getting back onto the topic, I don't know now that Mike is not AS active and that juicy is gone... I have decided to try a new rom everyday lol.

Any suggestions guys?

when you say OP i assume your directing this towards me...
I have NO issue with splash screens...i actually prefer different ones because i can show off with them and their uniqueness :headbang:

I'm just saying this to clarify any miscommunications...

Groove roms are great and he is very helpful and puts alot of time in this forum. Obviously Calcu, OMJ, Juggalo, Conflipper are all seasoned veterans as well with very stable and unique roms. almost every rom on this forum is worth trying out and better than stock, yes even the new one. there are may chefs starting out or recently started out that are excited and driven to make good roms which they do. Really all these guys should be getting paid by HTC or MS as independent consultants because I guarantee they are reviewing and getting valuable feedback from the testing going on here and on XDA. Mighty and Juicy have made it clear that they aren't going away either. I think over time people become fans on a few and kind of find their home so to speak but all are worthy plus let's face it, its free so flash away my friend!!

I view it as Microsoft made it, and they don't seem to care that you use your own splash (they even tell you how to use your own). If the owner of the product doesn't care, have at it.

Re: Replacement for Juicy

you can always create your own splash screen, use the same name that the rom cooker uses. from there drop it into the windows folder. and then it is however you want it to be.

if you think that is to much work, then you can just accept whatever it is that they use.

Just an idea.

My point exactly, these chefs are customizing it to their likings, if you don't like certain things either don't use it or customize it the way you want it.

Pretty simple really...
