I've been trying to see if the manila included in the kitchen works with Flip_IT to show the landscape buttons but my as far as my testing goes it has been unsuccessful.

I found that the Manila Base RGU file had this snipet missing:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\AppInstall\Manila Landscape\ExecutableFiles]
"\\Windows\\manila.exe"=hex:
"\\Windows\\ManilaActivateToday.exe"=hex:
"\\Windows\\lua.dll"=hex:
"\\Windows\\ManilaDesktop.dll"=hex:
"\\Windows\\ManilaToday.dll"=hex:
"\\Windows\\mode9.dll"=hex:

Its the only glaringly obvious difference between the RGUs from the kitchen stuff and the files in the landscape manila cab. Flashed after adding these to the RGU and installed Flip_IT and no landscape buttons. There must be some Manila files that are missing or something. Using the Telus Manila and Manila Base from the kitchen the total manila files are around 500, the Landscape Manila cab has over 1000 files. Basically this newb here is reporting the problem and stepping away from the deep end before I drown. jejejeje Gonna restore my backup and get back to work.
haven't had time to mess w/anything b/c we're trying to migrate our VM system over to exchange 07...

hopefully i'll be seeing this later...

Argh... Tobey can I add you to my MSN so we can talk for a bit tonight? I'd like for someone to help me out on the very basics of doing comparisons between RGU's, working with the CE Registry and working with the kitchen and comparing OEM's etc. I'm a fulltime IT admin, maybe I've stepped into the exec world a bit to much and my tech skills are failing slightly. But yeah, if someone with experience in WM CE just throws me a few bones I'll be able to manage on my own pretty quick.

I feel so close yet so far when working on the kitchen. I can migrate, manage, install and maintain Exchange, Dynamics, ADs, DNS, Cisco Routers, Managed Switches, Muli-Site LANs over WAN, this is just another tech world I have to step into.

Ya I was thinking about converting to Calcu's rom but the battery life on Juicy's is so great that its not worth it.

4 - Turn off TF3D on the Today Screen Settings
5 - Install Landscape Manila Black Cab TO DEVICE (it shouldn't overwrite standard manila, as I understand it if you go into your windows folder and delete the files that this installs TF3D should revert to the manila files stored in ROM)
6 - Install Flip_IT
7 - Soft Reset
8 - Re-Enable TF3D in Today Screen
9 - Go to Programs/Accesories/Flip_IT to enable your angles and settings that you want. I turned off every global angle and removed every app from the list except Manila.exe and set Manila.exe to only recognize 0 and 90 degrees. Try that.
10 - Ok out of Flip_IT and flip your phone and it should be working.
followed these instructions and it worked like a charm, thanks nttdemented!

back to VM migration...

Re: Touch PRO Landscape Mode Shortcut Buttons

*puts on evil eyes* I think I'm flashing my first successfully edited OEM into my ROM. Lets see if I was able to cook Flip_IT into the ROM. Oh noes, I might have a new addiction spreading fast into my cerebelum!!

Tobey is working on the Manila files to get them updated on his OEM, hopefully once he's got that done this will be entirely cookable into a ROM.
