I am not installing any custom icons. Just leaving it stock. I did notice if i cook in custom icons it does take care of the globe issue but i was trying to keep the stock icons for my b/w rom.

have you tried setting the data animation reg entry to 0..?

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CDMARSSI]
"EnableDataAnimation" = dword:00000001
"Enable1XEVStatus" = dword:00000001

Guys the problem lies with CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll found in OEMdrivers. (OEM\Diamond\Common\OEMDrivers) Use an older version and the reg settings become irrelevant and it goes back to usual behavior. Have no idea why the version in this kitchen is 4 times larger than the previous one, but something does not seem to be right with it.

Here is the version in 4.1, and it works fine without issues and I don't think it references those reg entries so you can either leave them or remove them completely.Attachment 49593

thanks for the input, but that hadn't worked for me. when i was replacing the new CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll in the OEM folder w/my own old one i was still having issues. after changing the registry however, they are gone

Anyone have the answer to the above question about the task bar signal. When I change the registry, I still have the world globe spinning and a dual signal strength.

I would like to get it normal...anyone know.
