Are you sure there just isn't a spacebar when you're typing in a web address in the browsers.... cause then my spacebar turns into a ".com" button, but switches back when typing anywhere else....

How long do you hold it?

Not sure I understand your question... but I was just saying that when i click on an address bar in the browser, the spacebar turns into a ".com" and back slash keys. When you click back anywhere else the spacebar comes back.

Software or hardware issue?

Been on the latest mighty rom and wasnt having any problems at all until I just went on vacation..

Now when I have the phone on and push to the power button to turn the backlight off.. it takes a solid 5-8 seconds before it actually does.

Secondly.. it now every minute or so flashes on real fast then flashes off. I have no email or weather or any data connection so it is not that..

My only possibility other than a hardware issue was I downloaded a battery monitor thing and uninstalled it because it was way too buggy...

Any one run into these problems? Soft reset does not fix and am not looking forward to a hard reset :P

Soft reset was going to be only suggestion other than a hard reset unfortunately. Doesn't sounds like a hardware problem imo.

Thanks.. I tried soft reset but nothing.. just did a full hard reset and it easily fixed the problem. I have a feeling it was the new battery guard app that no one fully understands how to use :P

I am unable to active sync after flashing mighty 6.5 victor to my touch diamond. I did search and there are 6 pages of the same problem and no answer. Is all lost if I didn't put the original rom in the internal storage ??

My FULL qwerty turns into .com and / when I am in the contacts page as well, it's only supposed to in the web browser (if at all), but it shows up when adding new contacts. I dont care too much because I use SPB and Finger. Alas it is there and needs to be fixed.

Before anyone says it, it's not a bad flash, I flashed shipped, I checked the image files and keymaps all of it is right except it loads the wrong image at the wrong time. I personally dont know why "/" is an option instead of a spacebar, when the slash is an option already. But again i dont use it, so its not a big deal to me.

No...get into bootlader plug your phone into you computer and flash away.

Look at stickies in upgrades to learn about bootloader. Dont know the proper way for bootloader, but here is how I do it.

Turn phone over in left hand (screen facing your palm), with your middle finder press volume down, with your pointer finger press power down, with your right hand instert stylus into the reset area, and hold down all of the buttons for 4 - 5 seconds until tri color bootlaoder screen appears.

You put your left hand in, you pull your left hand out, you put your left hand in and you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about! :-)

I want to personally thank pixelpop and tremp77 for their patience and very helpful tech support when I was deep in the dew.

I further totally agree with pixelpop that there didn't seem to be anyting in even mightmikes great 6.5 rom to make it worth the mess you can get into when the hardware is not designed to handle the more complex software.

Yes it ran 6.5 but took up some much storage space that you couldn't reload your backed up sprite data and get you in big time trouble . Not sure why it wouldn't recognize the handset with active sync on 6.5 but that does put in gig trouble . Reflashed the latest stock 6.1 rom off the htc website from feb or march 2009 and now back up fully functional and syncing normally .
