Im not having the bug right now, Ill have to wait till it pops up again and test it out, although if it is just a temporary fix a softreset does the same thing.
Great find though, thanks for the help!

Thank you, I will try that, but for now the phone would not reboot, and I flashed back to MR4 because I have to work ;) I will retry MR5 soon and try a hard reset after install

Heres a few things Iv run across that I dont see many people mention so I thought Id share with you guys
Heres an Opera mini cab that is actually pretty usable on the Diamond. After install set the font to xtra large and it makes it about the right size, Most of the ones Iv come across even at xtra large werer still pretty small and hard to use. It also creates a shortcut so you dont have to go to jave then click Opera then click launch. its also signed so no annoying questions.

Also heres a cab that will add your games folder to the 3rd button of your launcher so all your games are more easily accessed.

And heres a weather Database that contains about every city you can think of. Theres a few of these cabs floating around but this ones the best.

And HTCAddicts CleanRAM really seems to cleanthings up pretty well, especially if you seem to be getting sluggish.

And finally heres a Camera tweak cab that seems to improve Picture Quality, Dont ask me what it actually does/changes cause I dont know.
Enjoy!

So far the 6.5 beta has been running well for me. I have had a couple of times where the phone reboot. But, I did not lose any data and it happend just a couple of times.

I did ask Mike previously, why only IE on the front page. Has anyone been able to add Opera? Groove has Opera with an option to import your bookmarks on one of his roms.

If Mike does not want to change the default, is there a way to add or change IE to opera on the first page that does not have to be baked into a ROM?

And thats pretty much it! Thats exactly how my Phone gets set-up after every flash.

Nice summary I have started a spreadsheet to compare notes to find if it is a possible software.

Could you explain a bit further how to do this? If you are referring to a registry change, could you please direct me to the key? Thanks.

There is a theory that when Opera is loaded at boot, it causes a drain on the battery. I beleive this. You need to navigate to:
HKCU\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Apps
Delete the entire Opera9 key.

Then it will not load when the phone first loads and will not run the entire time. Some say this will make the internet a little slower but I have not had any issues with it.

Hey Yearn, your cleanRAM needs to be updated, 1.3.4 is the newest one I think.

Like the weather database!

Nice observation Litlpyro. Since i actually do allot of work on computers. I pay attention to the task manager allot and yes Opera (on allot of 6.5 installs) does load with the initial boot sequence if you check task manager. But... the memory that is tied up into that is not much. As far as the battery drain, that i couldn't tell you without hooking it up to a voltage meter to see. But with such small memory usage i don't think it would be too much on the battery, but who knows? Too bad there is not a program out there that will show what is pulling what on your battery.

I think we should work together to help solve this problem. Also, you guys are both on R3BORN, right? Is anyone having this problem on MR5?

Yes, I'm using R3BORN. Here is what I installed:
  • Spb Screenshot
  • Mobile Manager for Netflix
  • NBA 2 Go
  • EA Mobile NFS Undercover v17.0.19
  • DivX Inc DivXPlayer
  • AtomWare DopeWars
  • Exidler FingerKeyb 2.1
  • Sprint Picture Mail
  • OrangeSoftware PocketUno
  • Skyfire Browser
  • Astraware Boardgames
  • Montecristoff Diamond Tweak
  • TrueEddie's ST Communicator
  • Google Maps
Normally I would have more installed, but I'm installing programs only when I need them for now.
