oohhh...dude, that sucks. So here is my suggestion to all those with a ringer problem on Sprint. Flash back to stock and run it for a few days. Stock Rom sucks, I know, but by doing this you will accomplish 2 things. First, if the ringer problem doesn't come back at least we know for sure that it is a ROM issue (I don't think it is and pirish says he has friends on stock with the same issue). Second if the problem does come back then we know it is device related. Then you can bring your phone back to Sprint under the 1 year manufacturers warranty and get a new one free of charge (notice Sprint, not Assurion).

When i first got the ringer bug on 4.8 i stayed with it for a couple weeks but i was lookin like a jerk to my friends cuz i always missed their calls. Sprint released a new rom so i switched and i never experienced the bug on that rom. Now reborn is released... i flashed it and havent had a problem so far

edit: I heard it's a trial but for now it's free, plus the trials usually are long but time will tell.

Well, if you had it on 4.8 and it cleared by flashing the (new) stock rom, then that kind of means that it was 4.8 (ie custom rom) and NOT the device, doesn't it? Of course, it might be possible that it still existed (in hardware) but you just weren't on the stock rom long enough to experience it as it's so intermittent. It's probably some program or procedure we're all using, interacting with some audio module.

It's sounds like we can maybe eliminate BT from the list. It would be nice if we could definitively eliminate hardware as well.

The only way to do this is for someone to run stock for some length of time.

What are you asking for? I'd like to help but I'm not sure this makes sense.

Just save the custom ringtone into your internal storage root (\internal storage\) no sub folder. The phone should see it there and add it to the list.

Guys my ringtones are in /internal storage/my documents/ my ringtones and ive never had an issue, does anyone else have them there?

its already there, at the bottom of the screen where the little keyboard icon is, just select to the right of it (where the arrow is)and hit Phone keypad. you have the t9 keypad. good luck.
