yesterday after reading a lot i upgraded the rom with the TelUS radio as well..

Now i am getting 140kbits/sec at same place....

so this is the problem......

EDIT: on my screen i can see it says EV ....

the radio rom should not change your speed that much at all. I have flashed two different radios today alone with Mighty 4.8 and my data speed is the same. Something is not right for sure. you can check in your setting to see if rev A is enabled but that requires you to have the msl code for your phone. Dial ##778#, Edit>Enter MSL code>View info>Data Parameters. Make sure rev a is enabled.

**if you dont know your MSL code. You can retrieve it using a program called MSL grabber. Here's the thread.

Or Option 2 is to flash back to the shipped rom, then flash Mighty again as well as the telus radio if you like. I assure you that the telus radio will not reduce your data speeds that much.

Or option 3, just flash another radio, the Sprint 1.11.00f for starters and see if you get back your speed. Good luck

FOR THOSE WITH THE ALARM BUG:

Install G-Alarm 1.5.1 here:
http://www.ageye.de/index.php?s=download

On first run it will ask you to "Fix windows alarm bug". Press yes, it will soft reset. Try using G-Alarm and see if it fixes the problem. You can also try the normal Windows alarms if you don't like G-Alarm, because G-Alarm tries to fix that bug for all alarms I think.

does anyone have the cab for 4.7? it appears to be stable enough for me and 4.8 seems to be a little less. I cant find the 4.7 cab to download. if anyone has it that would be awesome! I'm ready to be done w this text bug!

Posting here becuase 4.8 is running smooth on my phone.

As for my question what is the proper way to put an htc coloured icon at the start menu button, or the logo being coloured for the start menu.

Thanks

I understand the primary reason behind the 4.8 update was due to some conflicting tweaks that were present in 4.7, but if my 4.7 has been perfectly stable since I installed it, should I really be concerned with 4.8 at this point? Is my phone a ticking time bomb just waiting to go schizophrenic on me?

Did you install diamond tweak? I changed a setting using that program to turn off my data after 1 min., and it led to the long answer times like you are having. Changing it back to default might fix it or there is a regedit if you search.
