Thanks in advance, love the speed so far, feels like a new phone

GS. how did you solve the mail issue?

It's working fine for me. I (finally) just set up my Lavabit and GMX accounts literally two days ago.

Yes there are several small issues like the new account button in the mail tab and the add new contact features in the contacts tab. I tried to tell about these before but no one else seemed to know what I'm talking about. You can get around them by going into the start menu and programs and use the mail and messaging program, and contacts program.
I wish these buttons worked but a small inconvenience in an otherwise great rom.

Are those problems you're experiencing in Manila?

Thanks, I'll check the TSOwen's taskbar thread.

Oh okay. So it's kind of like Sprint for overseas?
What kind of rates do they have over there?

I guess so not sure what you mean by that. I just installed the rom and made no changes to it. the soft buttons do nothing.

I am LOVING the rom but I am having an issue with missing phone calls. It just doesn't ring (it rings like once) and when it does and I slide the cursor the the "answer" side the little tab just goes back to the middle and I miss the phonecall. Other than that, and the soft button issue that Sideroad is having, this rom is awesome. Super fast. If it can reliably be used to answer calls it would be a keeper for sure.

Are you talking about any particular program, or in TouchFlow 3D/

Odd. You could be in spotty signal area, or with a carrier that doesn't work right.

Like you, I have experimented with many ways to answer calls only with the the hardware keys to avoid accidentally hitting the touchscreen in my pocket. I've got a 95% working solution with SKSChema, you can check out my post in the "answer only with hw keys solution" thread in XDA DEVELOPERS if you want.

Yes in the touch flow. not going into the programs through the start menu, right in the different areas of the touch flow interface.

Is anyone having an issue with the screen power settings? I go to the tasks tab in the power setting and everything appears blank... I also can't seem to get my location to work. I thought these issues might be caused by a bad flash, so I reflashed. Unfortunately they still dont work for me. Otherwise this ROM is a great one, nice and speedy!

Odd, it works on mine. The settings are even adjusted perfectly by default out of the box. Are you using the latest version?

If after checking all those you're still having troubles, try the power settings in the start menu, settings, sytem tab, and so on.

I think I was running an old version. I didn't realize the only place to find the download link was in the doc. I will download and reflash and try again! The power settings were good although I like to have the screen stay on while plugged in since I use it as an alarm clock.

OK, I flashed to the new ROM. It looks great, however I still seem to have the same problems. The tasks tab in nueCPL-Power only shows the save/load button, as well as my location is not functioning. GPS is functioning in google maps. Never had this problem in other roms. I am not using sprint, although every other sprint rom has worked fine for me.

How do you engage airplane mode? or an equivalent method of disabling all signal transmission.

Sounds good. And as a special new "goody", the screen and backlight settings should now be perfected by default when you flash the ROM, so the screen will stay on when you plug it in. I use my Diamond as an alarm clock too with SpoonAlarm, but I leave the screen off because that would be too much extra light next to my bed and I'd never fall asleep :drunken:.

Hmmm...
I can tell you I knew about the NueCPL middle tab problem thing before. You can still select the empty spaces where the buttons would be to access the controls though. Also, if you go to the Today screen and tap the battery icon, that will give you access to some of the backlight controls.

As for the GPS, I've never had any problems with that. What specifically are you trying to do?

Turn off all the wireless radios in the Comm Manager. Personally, I hate the "Airplane Mode" button and have it disabled by default, but if you feel otherwise, check inside of advanced config in the menu on the bottom right of the screen under the "Comm Manager" section.

Hello 2 Bunny- you have done some nice work with the rom- I have in interesting dilema- I am using a cradle point router PHS300 making the Diamond a wireless router moden on the stock firmware I am able to get it to work- the wireless router has an IP of 192.168.0.1 but when I use your elite firmware it changes to 192.168.10.1 and it doesn't work- I'll dig in some more and see what i can find if you are interested. But wanted to definitely say thank you.

So the Diamond won't get a proper IP address from the router? Have you checked your router settings?

The Rom's Performance is great, but the battery life is rather short in comparison of the Alltel Stock or the Mighty Rom.

That's odd. Do you have any data hungry or unusual programs installed? Also, check to make sure you haven't left WiFi on, as it does not turn off automatically when you put the device in standby by default (I don't think the EvDo data does either, but I'm pretty sure that it has a ten minute timeout itself).

Thanks for trying Elite! :headbang:

From as far as I can tell, no. I tried using the Rom alone for 1-2 days and the battery life did not substance all that well.

On the home screen, the lower-left "phone" button does nothing, and the clock stays on the time from when you last re-booted or changed the time settings.

I think I found a workaround, but turning off and on HTC Home items and the color theme, in an attempt to reset the items. Seems to work OK now.

It might be a hardware thing. This ROM should deliver excellent battery life.

You just have to watch what programs you install and what you've got running - this is independent of what ROM you're running.

The device (thankfully) has no SIM card slot to worry about. Use ActiveSync or PIM Backup to backup and restore your call logs, SMS, contacts, tasks, calendar, and more.

Unfortunately, you picked up the wrong machine. The gsm Diamond is not only the inferior model, but it is also incompatible with Elite. $40 will get you started with a working CDMA handheld, and a fresh start.

Let me know what you figure out.

Oh. Well, if you really need your contacts that badly, I'd recommend just a quick Outlook sync to get that straightened out.

Re: Elite ROM | Summer 2011 Public Release

I've had this rom for about a week now and so far I like it. I came from Energy ROM too, and I like some of the bells and whistles that Energy has, but unfortunately it just isn't that stable for me. I have lots of problems with the text messaging and I use that the most. So I held off on this ROM for a while, but I'm glad I changed over to it. Some quick thoughts:

--I'm also unable to save Contacts using Manila. I've tried saving via text message screen and also through the Contacts screen. If you hit "Add New Contact" it doesn't do anything. I will try via Windows and see what happens.

--I've also missed a couple calls because the slider didn't work exactly right. It slides, but then almost resets to the same position. But usually when it does that, I can still pick up the call, but I will try the hardware option perhaps.

--A couple features I would like to see: A weather option on the Home Screen. I love that feature and it would be cool to see it built in.

--Compact Qwerty built into the ROM. Finger keyboard seems ok, but my fingers are too big for it. Maybe if it was a bigger screen.

--Speed seems pretty good, but it did bog down for a while. I did a soft reset and it's fine now.

--In the Settings Tab, what is Gen.Y Manila? I clicked on it and it doesn't do anything.

I don't want to write too much, but so far I like this ROM. Good job 2B~! It's nice to see someone still supporting the Diamond. I could see myself using this for a while.
