at&t supports calls and date at same time now?
 

I'm sorry if this is a stupid guestion but i just saw a tv ad about at&t saying that with them you be on the phone and use data at the same time? with Verizon you can't, have you been able to do this with at&t or is it new lol... anyways i hate there service so blah!

gsm can handke calls and data at the same time...
cdma 1x is for calls, evdo is for data. the radio can only do one at a time...

ahahaha thanks! i knew cdma coulsn't, had forgot that at&t is gsm rofl! oh well i sure do hope cdma can handle call and data at same time :D

You can only do this on At&t 3G as far as I know. I haven't tested it on EDGE (1x), but I was under the impression it would only work while on 3G (which I know it does because I've done it).

EDIT: Just tried it, you can't do it on EDGE, so its only while you're in 3G coverage.

Oooo thats horrible then ahaha I use to have at&t back around 2 years ago. never really liked there coverage near me since it would always have one bar, even in there own store ahaha, I just wish CDMA would step up in the game and find a way to do this :p
