SERO or not SERO?

I recently contacted Sprint about not being allowed to order a new phone from the new SERO page. I told them I knew I was on SERO so should be able to order there. This is the response I got back
Quote:

You are currently on $30.00 Fair & Flexible Plan 500 plan. You are
getting all the benefits of SERO but your service plan is not SERO.
Therefore, your account type is also not SERO. This is the reason you
are not able to upgrade the phone by using the link.
Anybody else ever have this happen? What can I do about it? Any suggestions?

so you used sprint.com/sero to do your upgrade and got that error...
have you tried the regular sprint.com site, I would also take a screen shot of the benefits you have now just in case when you upgrade those benefits disappear.

Yep, I've tried through the regular site. Everything works fine there, except I would have to pay shipping and activation, wwhereas on the sero site I would not. Oh well, guess I'll have to fork out the extra dough.

The reason is because too many people took advantage of the SERO plan which ruins it for everyone else. Be happy for what you are paying and have been paying almost 50% lower than any other comperable rate plan out there. They bit themselves in the *** letting anyone and everyone get on with SERO and now when it gets taken away or people cant upgrade they get all pissy. Kinda funny actually.

Just remember, Sprint opened the flood gates to SERO. It's not users taking advantage of Sprint.

At one point Sprint had it opened to anyone who wanted to switch to Sprint from another Carrier. I personally signed up 20+ people through that offer.

Sprint shot themselves in the foot in making the plan available, and people rightfully so get pissy.

It's ok though, Sprint still has the best deals, so when the time comes around to get kicked off SERO, they will accept the mandatory changes.

well, I say you can't do much better than those old fair&flex plans. I'm still on an old F&F4Fam

Either way I wanna go to Sprint just because I don't want Verizon.
