there are some phones that have dual radios, but not all of them. They fall into the world phones that verizon sells. The new TP2 is one of them.

I don't think it's been done. Even if it is possible, people have a hard enough time getting other cdma carriers handsets to be put on the vzw network. Vzw has made it much harder in the recent past to get things like this done. I have heard it really depends on who you get when you call customer support.

Not sure where you are getting the idea that they use GSM stateside. They are testing their 4G (LTE) network which will move them away from CDMA.... no GSM now though. |

You're not getting the iPhone on Verizon until a CDMA device is made.
Besides, even if you did, chances are VERY good the data won't work. |
