my phone is not due for an upgrade until november this year through sprint. my secondary line "wifes phone" is though and id like to get a new phone out of it today. my question is can i get the phone but activate it with my current phones number without penalty? i need a phone as mines jacked up. by the way, both phones are under my name and account. basically i want to utilize the $150 credit that sprint gives on upgrades.

Sure can. Upgrade her line, and then call up Sprint and do an ESN swap on the account. If you change phones on www.sprint.com after logging into your account, there is no "upgrade fee"...
