tethering with sprint (without phone as modem plan)

is there a certain limit of gigabytes I should stay under to stay on the safe side? I have unlimited data, but heard that if sprint finds out about using phone as modem they will charge you or make you change your plan.

anyone have any experience with this?

I don't have any experience with this, if I did this without a plan, I'd for sure stay away from downloading anything, I would just use it for browsing. I know technically browsing constitutes as downloading too, just not GIGS of info while browsing.

If you're downloading music, movies, software you're probably going to be noticed.. If you're worried about getting caught, add phone as a modem to your plan. Pay now versus pay when you get caught

I've always followed the matra of making it look like the phone is doing the downloading. Browsing web pages and stuff won't look out of the ordinary.
