I was thinking about this situation. If you port your sprint number, the Sero account will be closed.
If you transfer your Sero account to another person and open up a new T mobile account, obviously you will have a T mobile number.
I think the sticking point here is that you are dealing with 2 carriers.
Someone else may have a solution but I cannot think of one at this time.
Since you have a Sero account, it is an older account and Sprint's prorated ETF probably does not apply.

Ok, what you can do is a TOL (Transfer of liability)basically it transfers your line to some one else..... so you don't have to pay an ETF or monthly bill...you could sell your account or give it to a fam member. Now some how it is possible to port your number...... I think through google voice or maybe even call Tmobile and tell them your situtation, they may help you. I remember reading a while ago when tons of people wanted sero and they wanted to keep their numbers. There was only a couple of ways to do it and I mentioned both (I think) so Good luck, hope this helps

I remember when people were switching to Sero and trying to keep their numbers.
The only difference with the situation the op is in, is that he is dealing with 2 different carriers where as in the Sero situation, the Sprint customer was switching plans within the same company, Sprint.
It was just that the policy was that you could not keep your same cellular number but there was a workaround. I don't remember what it was though.

As far as im aware, you can either sell your sero or keep your numberm you cant have both, i may be wrong though.

I didn't know that was the reason why you wanted to switch.
I would have told you that you are allowed to Upgrade your device with a Sero plan :)
Now you can keep your Sero plan and continue to save money every month.

Re: question about sero

i would never switch to tmobile from SERO account ..the Touch pro 2 and Diamond 2 will both be on the sprint network soon ..just wait for it ....

IMO tmobile sucks ...
