Sprint Premier offer made 10 times better.

Ok, so i got a brochure type thing in the mail for my one year anniversary with Sprint Premier offering me a free ringtone download, or 25 bonus minutes, well i have a Touch Pro using Everything plan so that kicks me out of needing either one of those. But my mind was wondering exactly what i could use this offer to bargain for. Well with the TP2 supposedly being released sometime in the next couple months, i wanted to be eligible for the full upgrade of $150 credit instead of waiting until November when im due(i am already eligible for $75 for being with Sprint Premier), so i called Sprint Premier's direct line and asked if they could move my upgrade eligibility date up so that when the TP2 is released i can get it with $150 rebate, in exchange for not being able to use the little rewards card i got in the mail. Well after speaking with his supervisor my Cus.Ser. Rep came back to phone and told me that there is no way to override the Eligibility date but what his supervisor has agreed to do, was on the day that i pick up my new TP2 and activate it (which i will receive a $75 discount on the upgrade initially), i just need to call in, and they will credit my Sprint Account $75 to compensate for the other $75 that i would have gotten in November (which essentially means i will get $150 in savings when i get the TP2) just as if i had waited until my full rebate period of November. The Rep even gave me his ID number and his Supervisor's ID number for my documentation and proof when i call for my $75 credit! Sprint is really vamping up the Cust. Serv here lately.

If you are a Sprint Premier customer and you received this reward brochure in the mail, feel free to try the same type of bargaining, maybe you can get something other than upgrade discounts.

One of the perks of being a Premier customer is that you can upgrade the primary line on your account after 12 months. This is from the SP Benefits Page

Hot Deals

With Sprint, you may be able to enjoy a phone upgrade benefit. It’s our way of thanking you for your loyalty – and keeping you connected with the hottest phones around.
If you are a Sprint Premier customer, here’s what you can get every 12 months with Premier:
  • Up to $150 toward the primary phone on your account with a new two–year Sprint subscriber agreement
  • Free shipping and activation when you upgrade on sprint.com
Upgrade online and see your early upgrade eligibility on the Phones page.

Plus I have the 25 bonus minutes. Not that I need them.

Yes, but my 12 months wont be until November so this way i get the same benefits earlier and can use them for the TP2!

So how did you get your one year anniversary card if your 12 months isn't until November?

No, i got the card for my one year aniversary with Sprint Premier, not with Sprint in general. November will be one year since i got my last phone, Touch Pro, which is why my upgrade date is in November. I have been with Sprint for 10 years actually this year now that i think about it.

they will probably give you $150 off retail instead of the new customer price. What I am saying is that by the wording, it only says that they will essentially give you $150 off the TP2. The TP retails for $579 but with 2yr contract is $299, you would pay $429.

I truly hope that isn't the case.

That's exactely what it sounds like they are going to do. If that's the case then you can try to negotiate with customer service and tell them since you are a long time customer is there a service credit you can receive if you extend your contract for another 2 years. I did this last year and I was able to get a $50 service credit for each line on my account.

Good luck.

sprint primier is only several months old i thought???

and they dont send out anniversary cards for your SP status, its on your whole account.. i just got my 9yr one...

and if your already eligible for a 75 dollar rebate already, that means your handset has been active for a yr.. so you should be good for the 150 if your a SP member..
