ATT Question

My girlfriend's family has an shared plan on ATT that they've been on since the original ATT days before they become Cingular. She currently has a 300 texts per month option but wants to upgrade to unlimited. When she called to have that done, they told her that they couldn't do unlimited on her plan since its so old. Can someone tell me if that could be true, or are they just lying in order to force her family onto a more expensive plan? I'm not familiar with ATTs plans or systems, so I appreciate your help with this!

Re: ATT Question

Verizon does that too. I was on a old plan (about 5-6 years old but, still a fair deal for me), I wanted to add text messaging (as I was getting wacked 0.10 each on them). They would not/could not add them to my current plan. I had to update plans (a little cheaper than I was on) but, did not have to sign a new contract at the time.

I heard that!!! Ask them to look into Sprint and they will save a ton of money AND get a LOT more for less. Simply Everything Family Share plans are very affordable and much less than the other carriers. And to top it all off... Sprint's cdma network is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY better than AT&T's network and Sprint's data speeds is like comparing dial up to highspeed cable internet... no kidding.
