Sprint bought my phone on Ebay
Hi, I was wondering if someone could help shed some light on my situation. My family got new phones through contract renewal, but we're all fine with our old phones so I'm selling the new phones on Ebay. Well, one of the phones was just bought by Sprint Wireless. Why would they buy my phone? I didn't think I was doing anything wrong, but I'm not sure why Sprint would be buying a phone from me. Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody can go on eBay and register any name they want. I could register myself as "The Queen of England". Just because the account name is Sprint Wireless does not mean Sprint bought your phone. It could be an 8-year-old in his parents' garage! |
Re: Sprint bought my phone on Ebay
Okay, well thanks for the answers from the comedians, now any real answers, please. Their account name isn't Sprint Wireless, the account that actually paid me and is confirmed and verified on Paypal is from an account OWNER named Sprint Wireless, also all of their transactions, which is many, are buying Sprint phones on Ebay. This isn't the "Queen of England". I'm curious as to why Sprint is buying phones on Ebay and especially mine? Quality control? Trying to find phones stolen by employees? My phone was obtained legitimately but I'm still curious and am wondering if I'm doing anything wrong selling the phone I got using my contract renewal. Any real help would be appreciated.

Re: Sprint bought my phone on Ebay
You are not doing anything wrong. I got a brand new replacement phone from Sprint once and sold it the day it showed up. The phones are yours to do as you please with.

Re: Sprint bought my phone on Ebay
they sold it to you for $200 then bought it back for $250 and will sell it again for $400
don't know, just a thought |
Re: Sprint bought my phone on Ebay
Ever think that the person is buying phones to resell them on Ebay. Probably thinks with a username "Sprint Wireless" it must be a trustworthy place to buy Sprint phones on ebay.
As for selling a phone you just bought, if you have had it for less than 30 days it may cause the guy you bought it from to get a charge back (and not get paid). May not either. People do it all the time if it makes you feel better. |
Re: Sprint bought my phone on Ebay
Thanks for the responses. Just to clarify, the username is not "Sprint Wireless", the OWNER of the account and entity that paid me from a confirmed/verified account on Paypal is "Sprint Wireless". This isn't someone pretending to be Sprint or using the name, it actually is Sprint.
