HTC's Rhodium on the map...is it Android OR WinMo??

It says replacement of Touch Pro and it has GSM capability.
Last I heard was that the first planned Android handset from Sprint would be from Samsung although I did not see it on that map.

That Samsung handset to replace the instinct looks a lot like the omnia had but not enough mp on the camera.

Also The Samsung Ace is stepping up to windows mobile professional which is nice.

think that Omnia look-a-like is Omnia lite...the other Samsung Phone looks to be an Instinct (stink) lite.

Yep, Rhodium is WinMo...but doesn't show the scrn tilting...not(?) TouchPro2?

HTC Rhodium aka Touch Pro 2 release is Q4. I was hoping to hold out with the Mogul hoping it would be released this summer. I don't think I have THAT much patience.

Where's the Diamond 2? If the Diamond 2 is not released this year, I guess I will have to hold on to my Touch until the Firestone is released?

That is the Touch Pro 2 and it also notes that there is a tilting screen in the specs. What are you talking about??

I wonder if the Rhodium can function on GSM networks in the states. It'll be cool to have essentially two numbers on the same phone hahah.

Probably not. They usually are Euro bands only.

all of sprints quad band phones don't work in the u.s. The gsm is for overseas only.

As for the diamond 2 they said thats not coming out this year at all, but of course no one knows till its finally said and done.

Seriously. Don't they usually release the Diamond before its keyboard toting counterpart? Doesn't exactly make sense.

What I though was interesting was the Roadmap said "OS/UI = Windows 7.x - TBD", so WM 6.5 on launch and free upgrade to WM7, lol, one can only hope. Oh, and "Accelerometer = TBD", I doubt it would go away, but why put TBD on the slide if this is just a TP with a bigger screen.

Did they just have to release this, the screen on the TP2 is SOOO Sexy. I just need to tell myself that in 45 days when I'm eligable for an upgrade that the TP is every thing I want for the next 2+ years, now just if BB will put them on sale again (and Sprint gives me a deal on the data plan :hope: ).

Where are the Android phones Sprint was supposed to get? My contract is up in July and I have been hoping that a decent Android phone will be out by then. Looks like I might be going with the Pre after all. The TP2 just isnt that much of an upgrade (big screen + thickness = Ugh too much for a pocket)

i might see if this sprint premier thing works out...i don't know. i like the tp2, maybe sprint will make it worth my while!

Hahaha, I got out of a early termination fee because Verizon bumped up some administration charge by like $0.05, after talking to enough people and supervisors I finally convinced them to let me bail ship onto Sprint.

i've already seen several upgrades come through early because of premier so it should work out for you rather well, thats what i'm banking on

yea I think premiere was sprints way of trying to get people to buy the phone rather than just have warranty issues over and over lol.
