Re: Diamond on SERO Question

I think he was referring to your comment about possibly having an issue getting the SERO account transferred to his account.

SERO FORTY DOLLARS Reply

Now, if you bought a SERO plan that had already been converted into a $40 plan, could it be converted back into the $30 plan to be used on a supported phone (such as the Diamond)?

LOGISTICS QUESTION Reply

Okay, in the meantime, if I were to buy a SERO plan from someone, what would I have to do to get it going and Sprint to transfer my phone number? Should I call Sprint prior to doing the transfer of the plan?

Thanks.

You have to port out your current number, have them do a transfer of liability on the line, then port your number back to sprint over the account (might have to wait 30 days from first port).

So I call up Sprint and say I want to port my number to a new account but not activate on a plan yet. Then, I buy the SERO and call up Sprint (that's the "transfer of liability", right?)?

I don't exactly follow what you meant... :-(

No you have to port it away from sprint like to a prepaid line or something.

Tol is kinda a pain in the butt process were you do a three way call with sprint and the outher person.

I've actually already got a prepaid line with PagePlus, does that count?

Yes thats good dont port till after you get the line. You will want to open a sprint account with no lines before you do any deals as it will make the transfer go smoother given you get a rep that doesn't block the transfer.

So let me get this straight (correct me if I'm wrong):
I keep my current activation on PagePlus, but register an account with Sprint with no lines or plans. Next, I buy the plan, do the "transfer of liablility" threeway call, port my number, and if all goes well I'll be good to go, right?
