I agree w/ Eric this economy situation sucks. Hope you enjoy the new job. I got a job w/ Home Depot temporarily after art school (forward 13yrs later LOL) I personally enjoy it every day. Hope you do as well. ....and yes you will receive the discount on Sprint as well as other carriers.

if you dont want to lose the number, maybe porting it to google voice?

Then use an old phone with wifi or computer/tablet then use that as the phone while you are at home/office with voip

And or use a prepaid plan and have google voice forward the call to it? If you are currently racking up money on the plan, you *might* be able to freeze the plan until you can get money to pay it off so the payments dont build up
