Gimped Service
 

So who else is getting tired of sprints gimped service? I'm in the Chicago area and was told by Sprint that there's been a outage since May. I called to complain about the signal and poor 3G and 4G speed, after being transferred to a tech who played dumb at first about it tried to get me to reset back to factory claimed the would fix everything. I told him I would not and that has nothing to do with the service, then later on he told me that field techs would be fixing the problem and the it would be all good, that was 3 weeks ago. I will share my speeds using Speedtest.net app.

Looks like the 4G is alot better now it was alot worse than that before but my main cell signal is still bad. 3G is still crap, these speeds were 6x slower a day or two ago.

shit I wish I could get 1255kbps down here in my town in the north suburbs. im lucky if I can even see 10% of that in the daytime, even in the county seat of my county i can get about 2500k down. I was told it wouldn't be fixed where im at till 9/30 and it's been like this since Feb we shall see if this holds true.

this is why sprint let me out for free in june. there's nothing wrong with the towers, their upgrading them in preparation for the iphone.

i dealt with crap service from feb-june and moved to verizon. my service is 10x better and i get 4g.

only way I'd goto VZ is if they had a SERO or ERP like sprint does and if they had no data caps. I'm actually looking at tmobile if there's no improvement around 9/30 like they promised. now I know they do throttling after 2GB but even then the speeds I'd get in that case would still be fast enough to listen to music on Zune smartDJ which is what I currently can't do on Sprint Ev in my hometown.
