Sprint insurance for evo

Today I dropped my evo4g flat on its face. Now the screen is cracked but the phone still works. I have insurance with Sprint and I think its called asurian. When I pay the $100 deductible will they send me a new one or a refurbished one? :(

I have Asurion with Verizon, They normally send Brand new ones but, depending on what is available.

The 3 times I have used them over 8+ years, they have sent me brand new ones.

Wasn't sprint fixing broken displays for like $35-50 ?

Man... I really don't want a refurbished phone. If I wasn't waiting for the Samsung gs2 I would I just get a new one for $99 since I'm not on contract.

$35 is what I remember hearing. No need to get Asurion involved.

like previous posts said, take it to a sprint store and just pay for the screen replacement. much much cheaper than going through asurion.

$35 at Sprint..Asurion is really only for lost or water damaged phones.

Ok call me crazy but I went ahead and paid the $100 to asurion I went to phoneclaim.com put the claim in yesterday and today I got a brand spanking new HTC evo with box cables battery memory card etc. I feel like when I sell it on Craigslist in a month (after I get my galaxy s 2 I will ne able to get a little more for it than I would have got for my beat up old one. Thanks for all of the advice guys.

not too sure why people pay for insurance :S
it's normally cheaper to buy a phone second hand from ebay/craiglist or get it repaired

I mean evo 4g goes around $100 on craigslist in my area now, if you have to pay the deductable and a monthly fee for the service... might as well just buy it from craigslist for the $100. sure it's not brand new but the condition on some isn't bad (near new even sometimes)

because for the first year to a year and a half the phone is priced a hell of a lot higher.
