Thanks for posting. Well this looks like good news. Just wondering what is means to the people purchasing Evo 3d, and other wimax devices that come out this fall?

I read the same story at another site and it offered more information on the overall plan of LightSquared, though not sure of the accuracy. In that article it says LightSquared will launch its first 4G market in 2012 and complete rollouts in 2015. If that is the case, I think most smartphone owners will be onto another device long before the final rollout, and likely sometime next year.

Thanks man. Just pondering whether its worth it to get the SG2 this fall or just wait for the first LTE devices, or just move to a more expanded LTE network. Decisions, Decisions. Lol.

C'mon, you're a phone junkie. Get the SG2 if you want it when it drops. Who knows how long it will take for LightSquared to get 4G LTE up in Pittsburgh for you, and then you have what you want for now. Then get an LTE device when you have it in your city.

Or, move to VZW like I did. I save 19% per month on all of my services, which puts me right where I was with Sprint (actually a little below). And they already have LTE in Toledo for me, with speeds that smoke Sprints WiMax speeds. I should know, I had the 4G MiFi from Sprint and the EVO 4G when I moved to VZW. I typically get 12-15 MB down and 6-8 MB up with VZW... I never saw those speeds with Sprint :)

I wouldn't deal with it Eric. If my 3g was hosed, there is no doubt I would already be gone. Sprint better get their act together. For all we know, it may be too late already.

cool, my 3g still seems descent, maybe not as good as a year ago. I guess we will see what happens in the near future. Verizon no matter how you slice it is going to be substantially more per month with their new tiered data plans. Now if I can get my company to flip the bill, that's the question. lol.
