PRL - Verizon customers on ALLTEL grandfathered plans (i.e. non-divested)
 

ALLTEL grandfathered plans (i.e. non-divested CDMA).

There has been a thread setup for those of us who are now on Verizon but were originally on Alltel and still have our Alltel voice/data plans (which are less $$$ than the comparable native Verizon plans).

For those of us with phones that don't reliability OTA update or for those of us who would like to experiment/compare other Alltel/Verizon PRLs from other markets, please follow: Verizon PRL - Verizon customers on ALLTEL grandfathered plans (i.e. non-divested CDMA)

If you need help getting your PRL off your HTC or Blackberry phone, please let me know and I'll post instructions. Alternatively, we can also start publishing our PRLs in this thread here.

Syntax:

Verizon Plans:

- 52xxx Prl is for Heritage Verizon rate plans with a VZW sided PRL.
- 65xxx is a Hybrid PRL for VZW rate plans (Alltel sided)

Alltel converts (2xxx = 1X, 3xxxx and 4xxxx = EvDO/3G):

- 20xxx, 30xxx, & 40xxx are ALLTEL sided prls for ALLTEL rate plans
- 26xxx, 36xxx, & 46xxx are VZW sided prls for ALLTEL rate plans
- 40xxx - 3G smartphones (HTC Touch Pro, Blackberries, etc), data cards, etc..

At this time, I believe the latest (alltel sided) PRLs are 20068, 30068 and 40076.

NICE! I only had to do this on my tp2 when i wanted to use Palringo. For some reason when using pal on my alltel prl it wouldnt log in. also when you use the vzw prl it actually says "Verzion Wireless" on the lockscreen and the auto provisioning works on mr.x's roms

Do you think you can pull your current PRL off your phone for me (if it is different than 30068?) Also, which verizon PRL did you use? 5xxxx series?

I wish there were a way to draw more attention from other Alltel -> Verizon converts like us. Where's LennySh, Conflipper, etc.

I have the htc thunderbolt right now, but the prl i used on my tp2 was 51926

Yeah, still looking for the elusive 40076 PRL. Need to find someone w/ an Alltel Blackberry, data card, etc. (some Touch Pro's also seem to get it... my TP2 for some reason doesn't).

hey, i am using a data card. I don't know how to get the prl off of it though.
