Port number and keep Sero plan

I am thinking to port my phone number to Verizon. However, I would like to keep my sero plan with sprint. Iam currently off contract. Is this scenario below possible ?
- add a new line say with EVO
- flip flop the numbers (not ESN swap)
- port the number to Verizon.
- Return the Evo before 30 days to avoid cancellation fee.

Please advice. Thanks.

I'm interested in seeing if this can be done as well! I've got a person who wants to give me their SERO plan but wants to keep their number.

I know Sprint can do phone number flip-flop. The only thing I have in concern if they allow us doing this within 30 days.

My understanding is that sprint will not let you keep a SERO number that has been TOL'ed, you can port a non SERO number out and bring it back in to replace the SERO number, but you cant walk away with the original SERO number, that gets lost in a TOL. I am trying to port my number out and take over a SERO, but am experiencing some issues.

This is EXACTLY what is going on with my wife's account. She got a verizon phone through her employer and she wants to port her number out and give her SERO line to her parents and we can't get it done. Subscribing to see if it can be done. I think I heard somewhere that you can get a prepaid and flip flop numbers and then port out the prepaid line but I'm not sure.
